  1. Any fishfinder (sonar unit) can be made portable, a 12 volt power supply, containment box of your choice and a transducer/bracket mounted to a piece of hardwood fastened with with a c-clamp to the transom (better than any suction cup) will work.
  2. Fish can and do change colour according to their surroundings and habitat. Now this is an opinion (suggestion) only, but perhaps these light coloured bass are guarding eggs/fry on a newly dug nest of stone/gravel, turned up stone/gravel is often lighter in colour than that of the surrounding stone (ie: trout redds) and the bass would/can change colour accordingly.
  3. Sufud, hcum oot kniht uoy taht kniht I
  4. LOL....If Dave wants to join us at Lakair I'll gladly give him a chance to kick my ass, I win. Battle of the minds, I'll concede quickly.
  5. You're obviously a young man with many talents, fishing and photography are clearly among them.
  6. Trust me, I've been at Dan's home and you'd be wrong to miss out on the offer!
  7. So will HeadHunter be working one of the stalls in a flashy Hawaiian shirt with "Metal Elvis" playing over a crackling mono stereo system .....
  8. I thought it was Fushcia, or something along those lines. Could be a clash issue all round I think.
  9. Oh and I fixed it so they won't call you "MINNOW" anymore Dave.
  10. Wouldn't his black rod be a better match with either the black or grey scale, just thinking out loud.
  11. I tend to refer to them as "sonar units, "Dufus"!
  12. Thanks Drew, I'd give anything to turn the clock back and have a day like that with my Dad! I've no doubt you make him proud every day!
  13. I don't know much about anything Lew but I am pretty certain that Diane spoils you!
  14. Well this is news to me and I'm truly saddened to hear of this. I first met Tambo on the Notty many, many years ago. We had an enjoyable afternoon together and I found him to be a class act all the way! Young by my standards but a true gentleman. We kept in touch over the years hoping to replicate that first afternoon together so many years ago, alas it never came to be. When he first told me he had been diagnosed with Lymes I offered to put him in touch with a good friends wife who hads/has been dealing with it, he accepted and eventually spent some time chatting with her on the phone about the illness and various treatments. I will miss you Mike, you were far to young to leave us.
  15. Sure, it sounds way wrong, I agree, but it's getting attention.
  16. Did I post this already....? Perhaps, but it's more entertaining than hockey.....
  17. Mono to mono, Triple Surgeons hands down! The "Triple Surgeons" knot is far superior in my opinion and so much easier to tie! The "Double Uni" is also a solid knot, but a pain in the ass to tie in comparison to the "Triple Surgeon."
  18. Thanks Jim, much appreciated. I'm gonna make sure you fondle it, new business is always welcome.
  19. Well this sure does take me back.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AI4N_Ri3Mlk&NR=1&feature=fvwp From my youth, I'll always treasure it but unfortunately never return to it, if you there now.....ENJOY, it's not permanent! Would I....?
  20. I'm not a big fan of "The Who" by a long shot but there are times.... http://www.youtube.c...h?v=ygOaNo3M_Hw
  21. Well I don't get all excited about musky fishing per say but I'm almost finished a new musky rod that'll be heading to Lakair with me. Hopefully it'll catch me something.
  22. Funny, I've been getting my dog vaccinted for protection against Lymes but yet I can't get vaccinated. Personally I have a few friends diagnosed with Lymes, not good! One is a member here on OFC and I was thinking about him just the other night. Been a while since I heard from you Tambo. Several years back I had one removed from my left shoulder blade, fully engorged, had to have been there for 3 days before it was discovered. For the record the the wound has never fully healed, nasty buggers!
