  1. It'll be 5 years this August since I was there, your post isn't helping Steve. But it is inspiring and I'm glad to see the pictures, awesome place, can't wait to get back. Congrats on all the PB's.
  2. Brutal, sounds a lot like the conversation I had with Bell on Friday....idiots! ....and don't even get me strated on the fools working for census Canada.....
  3. I would suggest a slow cure (24 hour) epoxy Emil and the tiewrap Mercman suggests is a great idea! Unfortunately the stuff I've been using for 35 years is no longer available (LePage..... ) I would think the JB weld would do the job, just don't use any of the quick set 5 minute crap.
  4. No need to wait for Phil....."Rookie" LOL That's way cool, I too hope it airs. Be sure to give us a heads up as soon as you know, please.
  5. Holy hot damn! Not sure how I missed this Dan, okay I am, it went up when I was without internet for three days. I'm glad I went back a few pages and found it, nice, very nice indeed. I'm happy to see you back in your element and of course I remember the fire, crazy stuff that was. *choke, cough, cough* Oh and tell Colin to take the factory label off his rod handle, very tacky.....
  6. Jen has reached 78% of her goal, I'd love to see her reach it before June 5th. https://secure.ccfcfindthecure.ca/ParticipantPage.aspx?PID=13536&L=2&CCID=95&GC=GTv2
  7. Agreed! You and Ginny have every right to be proud.
  8. Nothing less than outstanding Bernie, you have true talent and a great eye for detail. Well done indeed! Oh and leaving Walter's name on the inside of the cowling, very classy.
  9. Found this post in the classifieds, thought it might get better responses here.
  10. I'm sorry to hear of this Pete. It's to bad mans best friend has such a limited time span.
  11. I'm glad your camera found its way home Simon, would have been a real shame to have lost those pictures.
  12. Glad to see you boys had a good time and even caught some fishes. Let's hope the fall is a full house!
  13. Well it hasn't rained a drop here in Hamilton Terrence, but none the less I'm stuck inside too. Been working on a few custom rod donations, one will show up at Lakair in the near future.
  14. If you can show up Brian, do so I'll make sure you're looked after with roof and boat. Mind ya ChrisK is in charge of my boat keys so you'll likely have to spend time with him.....
  15. For all of those who didn't refer to them as "Gar Pike."
  16. The best fisherman I've ever known have purposely/intentionally shunned the limelight.
  17. I have found tape worms in every species of fish I've caught at one time or another, no worries as they are an intestinal parasite. Even you have eaten fish in the past you've likely consumed countless black and yellow grub, I'd be more concerned with those!
  18. Thanks for the e-mail link Ron. http://www.northumberlandtoday.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=3138201 I'm offering up the next brown one!
  19. My sincerest condolences Will. I hadn't seen this thread before e-mailing you this morning. The offer still stands.
  20. Me, me, me please. Your post reminded me Joe that I need one of them fancy adapters for Chris' trailer plug, you know the same as the one you were using last year.
  21. I'd be standing right beside Ron, fishing rod in hand if I could.
  22. I respectfully disagree, the photo while not conclusive does show (IMHO) the blunt rounded head of a Shad.
