  1. Well if I have to interject and I will, your fish is "golden" Randy as it's quite obvious we didn't have a "Team 5, 5cale Bu5ster5 last year. Nice, very nice Tomiko walleye Randy, end of debate!
  2. Suddenly I feel ill....
  3. I'm sorry that your outing with your daughter was cut short Mike but the important things is you're both home safe.
  4. Well since my last post 40 minutes ago the weather has become severe, pissing rain, thunder, lightning with extreme winds out of a northerly direction and the temperature dropped quicky. I hope all of our members (and non members) can see what's approaching with enough to time to get off the water safely. Very nasty out there!
  5. I was thinking much the same thing Erik, while it hasn't rained yet here in Hamilton the skies are balck, thunder is rumbling and the winds are eerily calm, me thinks a storm is immanent. But then again I understand that's good for musky fishing. I hope all our friends play safe and don't risk their necks for a fish.
  6. I have several for various applications but all are custom and all are one piece. My faves though are built form the tip sections of 13' float rods.
  7. Uncertain yet John.
  8. I'm looking forward to seeing you and Patsy again Rich but Brook is upset that your not bringing her friends.
  9. Ontario, Spring, Bugs....it's a given IMHO. Go prepared for the worst, hope for the best.
  10. You forgot to ad, "sweaty" and "under dressed".... Just say'n
  11. Any fishfinder (sonar unit) can be made portable, a 12 volt power supply, containment box of your choice and a transducer/bracket mounted to a piece of hardwood fastened with with a c-clamp to the transom (better than any suction cup) will work.
  12. Fish can and do change colour according to their surroundings and habitat. Now this is an opinion (suggestion) only, but perhaps these light coloured bass are guarding eggs/fry on a newly dug nest of stone/gravel, turned up stone/gravel is often lighter in colour than that of the surrounding stone (ie: trout redds) and the bass would/can change colour accordingly.
  13. Sufud, hcum oot kniht uoy taht kniht I
  14. LOL....If Dave wants to join us at Lakair I'll gladly give him a chance to kick my ass, I win. Battle of the minds, I'll concede quickly.
  15. You're obviously a young man with many talents, fishing and photography are clearly among them.
  16. Trust me, I've been at Dan's home and you'd be wrong to miss out on the offer!
  17. LOL....
  18. So will HeadHunter be working one of the stalls in a flashy Hawaiian shirt with "Metal Elvis" playing over a crackling mono stereo system .....
  19. I thought it was Fushcia, or something along those lines. Could be a clash issue all round I think.
  20. Oh and I fixed it so they won't call you "MINNOW" anymore Dave.
  21. Wouldn't his black rod be a better match with either the black or grey scale, just thinking out loud.
  22. I tend to refer to them as "sonar units, "Dufus"!
  23. Thanks Drew, I'd give anything to turn the clock back and have a day like that with my Dad! I've no doubt you make him proud every day!
  24. I don't know much about anything Lew but I am pretty certain that Diane spoils you!
  25. Well this is news to me and I'm truly saddened to hear of this. I first met Tambo on the Notty many, many years ago. We had an enjoyable afternoon together and I found him to be a class act all the way! Young by my standards but a true gentleman. We kept in touch over the years hoping to replicate that first afternoon together so many years ago, alas it never came to be. When he first told me he had been diagnosed with Lymes I offered to put him in touch with a good friends wife who hads/has been dealing with it, he accepted and eventually spent some time chatting with her on the phone about the illness and various treatments. I will miss you Mike, you were far to young to leave us.
