If you try hard enough I guess you can miss the point.

Hardly a measure of the athleticism required for a 60 minute hockey game. Someone start a speed skating thread.

I don't think people ignore his point totals Bill It just very apparent that people who know a lot more than us put heavy stock in work ethic and attitude. I'd rather my team lose because of lack of talent playing at 100% as opposed to what we endured last year. Just my opinion.

It really doesn't matter how good Kessel should have been or will be in Pittsburgh. He has a 2-0 record of being a selfish suck that causes resentment on the team. Is it so hard to believe the Toronto traded him for what they got because they had to? Only a well put together team could possibly have the depth to keep him remotely interested enough to play and be strong enough to cover the fact they'll be one man short every time the pucks going in the defensive direction. That leaves a small handful of teams and I'll bet most don't want to roll the dice on existing team chemistry. Personally, I don't wish him good luck. Its a respect issue.

The cellphone Mafia! Lol I think they all meet confidentially to negotiate the plans and terms each year. The last thing they all want is to compete for business. That's my conspiracy theory for today. Lol

Change terrifies some people. Some react by quietly observing to see what happens next, hoping for the best. Others openly vocalize against the change by pointing out what might happen. Regardless it's not the topic that is the issue, it's the fact it's different. It's change. When you look around and your big beefs are how close together traffic signs are or trees planted near hydro lines, you should be smiling.

advice on buying land and rural life

Pros and cons to both lifestyles. Just be careful your new dream home doesn't become your new doghouse! If Momma ain't happy...... -
The Canadian side of the Upper can be tough to fish during a stiff east wind. It's not really the waves necessarily, it's the lack of boat control. You get pushed all over the place with a north current and cross winds. Like LD17 said, the U.S. side has lots of great water that will be sheltered. LD17, if you've never seen waves like that on a river, you should see it with strong North winds. Incredible. I've gone out off Chippewa and there has been 4-5 footers rolling straight down the river.
-
With an east wind you can launch in the river and go out to the lake. That way you can stick to the east shore as close as the wave height dictates or fish the river if it gets too rough.

So, is that $100 each?
-
Doesn't matter what size he buys it'll be too small in a year anyway. We all get footitis.

If the bare back riding champs need a lawyer, look no farther than OFC!! LOL

Downplaying this as no big deal is as stupid as, well, jumping on an animals back.

Who designates an area as a fish sanctuaries?

I'd stick a picture of myself beside the sign holding up fish!. That'll tick the weirdo off. -
Finally got the boat finished...now where r dem walters?
grimsbylander replied to limeyangler's topic in General Discussion
That was a great video! Seeing fish on the screen adds a whole new level on excitement. Thanks for sharing. Oh and the "200 trips to Canadian Tire" comment was perfect. Been there!! -
I really don't see the humor in this (and I've been known to laugh at some pretty stupid stuff sometimes). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kl4kJ9TGhJA Hope they find them.

Make sure they're topped up with distiller water(preferably)before you put them on the charger. Low fluid in a battery seems to charge well but loses power extremely quick.

Work termination legal advice needed (NF)

I also read the original post a couple times because I thought I missed something. Maybe you could share why you feel the need for legal advice? -
Do you have a boarding ladder on your boat ?
grimsbylander replied to lew's topic in General Discussion
Climbing into any boat in the summertime while swimming is night and day to the very same boat in cold water while wearing a coat, sweater, jeans and boots. Plan for the October/November/March/April dunking, not August. -
Crazy Deal on Buffs!!!! One day only!!!
grimsbylander replied to DRIFTER_016's topic in General Discussion
Got mine and they look good. If they were thicker I probably wouldn't wear them in the heat of the day when you actually need protection. -
Heads up...Tornado warnings across most of Southern Ontario. Black and very windy here in Grimsby.
-
I agree. Solar would be unreliable. Personally, I'd look into single bank onboard chargers if you have power to your docking area. The electronics will go all day assuming the bilge runs periodically and for short durations.

mid 90s evinrude 2 hp outboard help
grimsbylander replied to bow slayer's topic in General Discussion
I was given a 2hp Suzuki from my uncle a couple years ago. That thing fires up on the second pull in the garage every summer. Now all I have to do is buy a little boat for it!! Neat motor though. -
I get it, thanks. Found one for $5.

Anyone have a good idea of where I could find a replacement deck plate(inspection port) cover? Used is ok too. I'm looking for a 6" dia. black cover with the tab style lock. I can buy a whole new unit but that comes with the base part that mounts to the boat. That would be about $50-$70. I know where mine is...QEW between the Red Hill overpass and Burlington St. As much as I'd like to save some cash, I don't want to qualify for the Darwin to do it.
