  1. Great video! Wow, you had an amazing day. Congrats!
  2. Exactly!! It's too funny that guys think they know what's better for the team than Shanahan and Babcock. What could they possibly know about the inner workings that we don't??? LOL
  3. This is all great information and thank you very much. Due to his budget restraints, I have suggested he look for a used one as opposed to buying a cheaper one brand new. By time he adds on a paddle(surprising expensive), rod holders, el cheapo electronics, etc. the price will be right up there with the price of a better boat in used condition. The models suggestions that were made will help tremendously.
  4. Kessel dang well better do good in Pittsburgh! That's not a tough prediction to make. What if he got traded to a team like Carolina? Could he carry the team without the Toronto media spotlight?
  5. Those pictures are very nice. I think it's more the photographer than the camera!
  6. Good point but realistically I think you'd fish a long time before finding a fish with a belly full of Gulp baits. If ever. As far as live bait being better for the lake, I'm not sure that as a general statement is true. Live bait is regulated to control disease, invasive species and the introduction of non native species. The emptying of minnow buckets is one example. There are lakes I know that now are full of suckers, carp, etc. that were trout lakes when I was a kid. I have no idea if it has anything to do with the white bucket brigade but I'm sure if I dumped a couple hundred Gulp baits in the lake for 30 years they wouldn't turn into suckers. I'd like to know if anyone on the forum has ever caught a fish with a bait inside it. Not in its mouth, inside its intestines.
  7. The "Who wants Phil?" stats don't lie either.
  8. Lol. Or stop supplying them with our bananas!!
  9. LOL Pete and I just talked about that. Glad I'm not the only one just seeing musky cruising.
  10. Not the same products. Those are an oil based non- biodegradable plastic. Gulp is not.
  11. Amazing. Beautiful fish guys!
  12. They don't digest them at all actually. They are completely biodegradable, not digestible. Fish simple pass them.
  13. Hello All, My son is looking at buying a kayak for fishing. The attraction is the simplicity and being able to strap it to the roof of the car and go. From what I see online, the sit-on models seem to be the most popular for fishing. Many are decked out with graphs, rod holders and storage bags. I'd like to hear opinions from anyone that has owned or tried the different styles as well as find out what the must have features are. Interested in.. length pricing brand features anything else that you learned along the way Thanks. Dave
  14. How is it better?
  15. Best wishes for a speedy recovery Gerritt. This may be a blessing in disguise! Take heed and listen to the docs, you'll be back enjoying the F words soon enough. Family, Friends and Fishing. Take Care.
  16. Still sad that a momentary lapse of judgement cost him his life. You're right in saying we've all done some dumb things.
  17. ^^^ That is very cool!! My idea of a video game! Thanks for posting.
  18. That looks like a blast Brian. In that 4th picture you have the Lew look nailed!! LOL Nice fish!
  19. That's a tough thing to do. Our lab is getting on and his time is extremely limited. He fell going up the stairs twice last week. We're dreading the reality that it's weeks maybe months now if we're lucky. Sad situation for you right now. My condolences.
  20. Hi Jimmy, welcome to the forum. Why not post a quick intro? Where do you fish? What do you like to fish for? Oh, and pictures...pictures are good.
  21. That's a foundation with no chance of moving or cracking! Awesome job. Keep the pictures coming!
  22. You're probably on the right track with the plumbing being the culprit. Sometimes if you plug or tape off the outlets at the transom and fill the livewells right up with water, you can find the leak. You may have to circulate the pumps depending on where the leak is. Good luck, I'm sure it's something simple; Crestliners are great boats.
  23. Not a bad idea...he could backcheck on Kessels's line.
