Not quite sure how to handle this, Suggestions?
Headhunter replied to Big Cliff's topic in General Discussion
Cliff, I would do some "due diligence" regarding the Sens front office. I'd find out who is responsible for managing/directing the staff, in regard to customer service. I'm sure they have some kind of customer service team. I'd connect via the phone, rather than email or snail mail... much harder to ignore than the former. Should that route not net you your expected results, I'd be writing a letter to a local Ottawa paper and hope that some bad press would potentially get some interest from the team. Hope this helps? HH Ps... here's the phone number: (613) 599-0250 -
Thanks for your replies folks! Appreciate the effort... it appears as though in the right situation, it is the way to go... I will have to give it a try this summer and fall and reprot back on my findings... nice info here folks... THANKS! HH

Well, at the least, it won't get freezer burn! HH

Thanks for the info guys, but does anybody actually have any first hand experience in a direct comparison? thanks, HH

I simply won't go perchin through the ice without my power maggots! Without a doubt, I will out fish anyone using minnows for many reasons, but in a nut shell, they are the cat's ba doop do for perch through the ice. HH

Has anyone ever done a side by side comparison of Floro vs say straight mono when fishing? I ask because as you can see, there have been many threads about Floro recently and it has raised this question in my mind. As I am mostly a troller, can anyone tell me that Floro has put more fish in the boat? If so, did you run two lines, identically and find that the Floro out performed that other? I am considering giving it a go.. but like so many things in this world, is it real or just hype? PS... I understand why the Musky guys use it, but for other applications, is there really a quantifiable difference or does it just give you a sense of confidence that in turn, nets your results? Thanks, HH

I believe that Wayne has unconsciously began a program to test virtually every camera manufacturer's product under water abilities! Give more time, I'm sure he will post a report outlining each camera's ability to survive a plunge into the cool dark waters of the T. Fortunately, there are no fish in T and therefore, no real requirement for actual photos! Either that or he's getting clumsier by the day! LOL HH

I was speaking with my brother in London last night, he works for a Magna company and they are now down to 3 days a week! Yes, this is the result of a labour dispute in the U.S. and yes, this too shall eventually end, but, wouldn't you, as a business owner begin looking at all aspects of your company's business and consider any and all options that would put your company in a position to be profitable? I know that if I owned a company and I saw that unreliable labour, high taxes, high labour costs were eliminating my bottom line, I would seriously consider moving it to a place where my bottom line is acceptable. I'm sure that many folks will have issues with this, but we here in the "1st world" have created our own mess. We are pricing ourselves out of the market. Getting to the point of the thread... no I would not buy a motor made in China... my experience with products from that area of the world tells me that I am not buying a solution to my problems, let's face it, virtually every buying decision is made based on a "preceived "problem" that the buyer has, be it a need, want or desire. When I spend my hard earned cash, I expect that what I am getting will meet my expectation... so far, by in large, products from that part of the world have been pretty disappointing. HH

Ole and Sven were fishing on the Minnesota opener when Sven pulled out a cigar. Finding he had no matches, he asked Ole for a light. "Ya, shure, I tink I haff a lighter," he replied. Then reaching into his tackle box, he pulled out a Bic lighter 10 inches long. "Yiminy Cricket!" exclaimed Sven, taking the huge Bic Lighter in his hands. "Vere dit yew git dat monster??" "Vell," replied Ole, "I got it from my Genie." "You haff a Genie?" Sven asked. "Ya, shure. It 's right here in my tackle box," says Ole. "Could I see him?" Ole opens his tackle box & sure enough, out pops the Genie. Addressing the genie, Sven says, "Hey dere! I'm a good friend of your master. Vill you grant me vun vish?" "Yes, I will," says the Genie. So Sven asks the Genie for a million bucks. The Genie disappears back into the tackle box leaving Sven sitting there, waiting for his million bucks. Shortly, the sky darkens and is filled with the sound of a million ducks....flying directly overhead. Over the roar of the million ducks Sven yells at Ole. "Yumpin' Yimminy, I asked for a million bucks, not a million ducks!" Ole answers, "Ya, I forgot to tell yew dat da Genie is hart of hearing. Do yew really tink I asked for a 10-inch Bic?" Hope you enjoyed! HH

I remember fishin Port Burwell as a kid, mostly the pier for perch, but on occassion, into the river/creek for some cats. It was it seemed, forever being dredged back then as well. So many of Erie's tribs get filled in so quickly... not surprised by this at all. Hopefully the powers that be will take care of it! HH

Horwood Outpost/Horwood Lake anyone stay there?

It is a lake that has an abundance of snot rockets and small pickereyes. Minnows are the ticket for consistent success... the lake is horseshoe in shape and is a reservoir with a fairly consistent depth. Tons of fish, finding big ones can be more difficult. The logging road in can be an adventure... be sure you have lots of gas in your tanks before you leave Timmins! HH -
Congrats Joey! I'd be making sure that I don't leave that torpedo sitting on one of the seats of the boat, just before take off... look pretty funny with the back fins stickin out of yer behind! HH

Looks like a nice day on Quinte to me! LOL HH -
I like Gerritts batter too! Did a fine job on the fish up at Bernies! Normally, I just do the flour, egg wash and spiced bread crumbs and cook it all up in Lard! Mmmmm lard! HH

Every day is "Earth Day" at my house! As a cheap Prick, nothing drives me battier than a light burning for no reason. I did find it rather humorous that so many folk jumped on this "conservation" wagon... when in reality, if you truly did care, you would be doing this every day anyway. Now, before the "conspiracy" folks get their under-ware in a knott, I would not be doing it because some left wing tree hugger asked me to or because some former pollitcal leader wants more of my money... I do it because I'm CHEAP! Isn't that motivation enough? HH

I feel sorry for Hab fans... at least we Leaf fans have no expectations of success, therefore, we have no real sense of loss as a result of "our" teams results... where as you Hab fans actually think your team will have a measure of success this year in the playoffs... they are already over due for their late season swoon... GO Jays GO! LOL! HH PS... I bet Leaf players are better fishemen than Hab players... they have way more time on the water! OK, I'll stop, I'm hurting myself!

Roy, 1. soak the reed for a few minutes 2. attach it to the mouth piece 3. assemble the rest of the instrument 4. apply proper fingering 5. BLOW LIKE HECK! There does that help! HH

"Is that why lactating breasts taste so good ...." As you know Wayne... that one really hurts right now!LOL HH

Soaking anything that is "gamey" or over powering in milk for a few hours, will remove that taste. Many people do it when cooking organs such as liver or kidney and it also works very well for fishies! Not at all suggesting that Catfish require this treatment, but thought I'd pass this along. HH
