  6. My wife and I are heading up to Rama for the Collective Soul concert on Friday night. Zippin back home on Saturday morning, after a little rendevous away from the kids after the concert! as it's my son's 6th birthday on Saturday. 25 people coming for a BBQ and perhaps a few beverages! Sunday chill out and get over this plague that I got from Gerritt via a PM! Lol! What 'cha got going on? HH
  7. Great job Emil! Boat looks great and your smile does as well! HH
  8. If your willing to make an investment in the trailer, you may want to consider getting it "dipped" for long term reliability. HH
  9. I can't believe I'm saying this, but nice lookin Carp! They seem very clean and very cooperative! I'm wonder if your sore back has anything to do with your finger problem... perhaps a pinched nerve in your back is causing the problem... as others have said... get a 2nd opinion... in my opinion!
  10. Pick your days, hop in yer boat and cruise the lake, just outside of the creek... you will have all the luck you want, no one on top of you and the fashion police will be on shore. Problem solved! HH
  11. IMHO most of the steel headers don't deserve a separate section... unless it was chalk full of bargain bins selling new personalities! HH PS... now before you go nuts on me... I did say "most"!
  12. Fished for them many times in the Thames river, mainly near the Spring Bank Dam... we found them very difficult to hook, but here's what worked for us as we gained experience. They tend to cruise in the top 2 ft of water, so we would use a treble hook, wrap as many minnows around the treble as it would hold and hang it about 4-6 inches below a float. It's fun watchin your float get towed all around... after a period of time, set the hook. As mentioned above, they are difficult to hook, but they also were lousy fighters! Once you get the beak up and out of the water, they simply water ski in! We found it a fine way to kill a nice summer day! HH PS.. the alligator gar in the south was used by natives for their scales... they became arrow heads... also, if memory serves, the flesh is also poisonous!
  13. It's all just "innuendo" or "outyerendo" but I just can't be sure! HH
  14. Sorry to break it to you Bill, but someone cut off the butt section on that rod! I have no idea how you could possibly use a rod with no butt section! How the heck do you get it to stay in the rod holder?! Looks very pretty Bill, yah, bring some up to Bernie's and we'll catch spotted eyes with those suckers! (or maybe just some suckers!LOL) HH
  15. There was a fairly large article in Saturday's Toronto Star regarding the Leslie Spit and efforts to revitalize the area. Just and FYI! HH
  16. Nice lookin Pooch Dano! HH
  17. Mike, I've recently gone through the "pain" your going through, with two young ones and the assorted sundry items that are required just to leave the house! This is a short term situation since as they get older, they will require less and less items. We found that we only brought with us, things that we could not buy, upon arriving at our destination, helped a great deal. Many items are also available in "travel" mode, but space was at a premium during that time. Although you may not want to hear it... I 2nd the minivan comment as it is a solution that has long term pluses, assuming your budget can handle it! Oh yah... and a boat on a trailer can carry a lot of stuff! HH
  18. Those beavers and their habitat were created and funded and maintained by the local conservation authority. Lew, the tree's have been wrapped up like that for at least 2-3 years. I spoke with a rep of the authority and they are building new habitat for the beavers, including plans for a bass pond. I haven't been down there for close to a year, but I'm assuming things are moving along at a typical government pace. As your walking along the Spit, I believe, just past the bridge, on your left hand side, follow the path and you'll see the beginnings of the new habitat they are building. Pretty cool to find all that, within a couple of miles and definately within site of the country's largest city. If more folks here in T.O. actually knew about it, it might help to get some folks more in tune with nature as opposed to the Mall! HH
  19. I keep coming back to the old 80/20 rule... 80% of my business comes from 20% of my customers... if this customer fits this description, I'd be going out of my way to insure that I do everything I can to keep that relationship mutually beneficial. HH
  20. It's like sex Clampit... you always wanted it, but still have that look of surprise when ever you get it! HH
  21. Don's the MAN! I met him at an autograph session in First Canadian Place a few years ago... dwon to earth, honest and loaded with common sense... Don Cherry for Prime Minister! HH
  22. "I especially like using it from about 5-10 feet above the water" Those fish had better be jumpin pretty high up to get at that "top water" bait! HH
  23. You may want to consider George Brown courses. I believe that you can find evening courses as well. Lots to chose from, your location may be a determining factor. As this will be I'm assuming information for your personal use, versus a career situation, publicly funded course may suit you better than "private firms". HH
  24. That thing would have me driving in circles! I wonder what language it speaks? HH
  25. I've some success with rubbing alcohol in removing stickers and such. HH
