  1. Simply awesome! It was "Bunkish" for me! Thanks, HH
  2. Bump... for the sake of those who have missed it! Peter....? HH
  3. Oh my! Thanks for that Bunk!!! I can now see me getting home from work tonight, and putting my guitar away and taking up sewing!!!!! I have a real love/hate relationship with guys like that... I love the way they play and Hate the way I do!!!! Thanks again! HH
  4. Of course you can ply any tactic you wish! FYI... the "biggins" are coming in from Lake O and staging for their spring spawn. During this time, they are also fattening up for the winter. They follow the schools of bait fish into Quinte, they too are on a spawning run. The key to success on Quinte is to find pods of ACTIVE fish. You could get lucky and find a pod in the area you are jigging, but experience has shown that covering as much water as possible, is the best way to connect with active fish. There are a number of "spots" that have been targeted by jiggers and I assume they have a measure of success. I can only relate my personal experience and your chances of catching a double digit Pickereye to me anyway, are much higher trolling planer boards with large cranks. Dipsey's, Lead Core and riggers have their place as well. I hope this helps! HH
  5. Bumpety bump, for the sake of the lumps! HH
  6. Here's my suggestion to those trying to learn stuff and can't get yer fingers to work the way you want... buy a metronome, slow the thing down to 4-5 times SLOWER than the actual song and play it at that speed, until you can play it perfectly 20 time in a row. Then, speed up the metronome one knotch and repeat. Continue to this until you have reached the actual speed of the song and move on t the next one. Scales should be learned and played this way... essentially what we are talking about here is muscle memory and discipline, both of which take time, effort and patience. HH
  7. Yup, I'm with Biteme on that one... by far the loudest band I have ever heard! Louder than The Who, and Black Sabbath put together!!!!! "The music is so loud, you can't hear the sound"! HH
  8. Ok, this is the first time I have EVER seen anything like these things... seriously, do people really use this stuff to figure out tunes????? I guess I'm kinda old school, but I learn stuff by ear. Yes, it take a ton of work, but like any tool, the more you use it, the easier it gets! I'm with ya Cliff! HH "Show a man a lick and he will eventually learn to play it.... show a man how to listen and he will be able to play ANYTHING!!!!!" ... my new quote!!!!!
  9. Cliff, get Danbo to play the gig and you and Bly can join us for a couple of days of lure washin and sheep head collecting! HH
  10. Yup, we are G! lookin forward to seeing many familiar faces and meeting some new one's as well... and I must admit, I will not miss Merland's at all! HH
  11. Heres's what really gets me... ok, so I'm old and still have some functioning brain cells, but when I started driving, everything was posted in MPH, not KPH. So, if I was doing ten miles over the speed limit, in today's world, that is almost 20 kph over the limit. 50k over the limit is really only 30mph over the limit... we are yet again getting screwed! And I won't even comment on the 50k and over speeding law... since when did police officers become judge, jury and tow truck driver? HH
  12. We will miss yah Will! I'm sure it will be more fun musky fishin! LOL HH
  13. Booked for the weekend! Nice people and easy to work with... Perfect Vue here we come!!!! They suggested that the will keep the docks in as long as the weather allows. The only issue that could potentially rise is a low water level they are experiencing could affect the docking situation. HH
  14. Oh my... gonna have to get the plastic wrap for my key board before I view the full report! HH
  15. Very nice example of some of the best players there are! Now, as a bass player, I have a bit of a different on this" There can be only one! Ladies and gentlemen, I give you.... THE OX! HH
  16. Float suit! HH
  17. Terry's turning soft! Quick, everyone Terry's turning soft! See what Ottawa river musky will do to you Terry! Stick to those "pretty" silver line screamers! LOL HH
  18. Oh my! That sucker is massive! Congrats! HH
  19. I looked at their site and it seemed to me they had 2 cottages and a number of trailers/mobile homes available to rent... anyone have any direct experience? HH
  20. Well hold onto yer ankles, because it appears as though our lovely local government here, read Toronto city council and our fabulous Mayor are considering: a) a deposit on coffee cups (disposable) banning disposable coffee cups completely! They claim too many cups go into landfill, it's too expensive! They want us all to bring our cup with us! Can you imagine the chaos at yer local Timmies! HH
  21. I would suspect that eating any resident fish from the Thames is a fairly bad idea, if it is something you do on a regular basis! HH
  22. Don't worry Beats...if they are keeping those fish to consume, well, they will have taken care of the problem themselves! HH
  23. Has anyone stayed at Pickeral Park? It looks like they might have enough accommodations to handle a group of our size... yes, it's on Hay Bay, but I know for a fact, that there a number of folks here who have huge issues with the way we were "serviced" of lack there of, in the last couple of years! Just a thought and looking for yours! HH
  24. Awesome pics Dano! Could someone PLEASE PASS THE BUTTER!!!!LOL HH
