I have obviously put way to much thought into this and admittedly, I am beginning to scare myself! Ariel would be an ideal "partner, she could easily slip over the side of the boat, dive deep into Adolphus Reach and be able to tell me once and for all, what the heck all those huge hooks we mark there in the fall really are!!!! She'd fit in the live well, for sure she would attract the attention of some monster smallies and in general, beat the heck out of an Aquaview! . . . . . . . . . . .uhmm.... how many more days to the Quinte GTG!? . . . . . . . . ....and don't get me started on Belle from Beauty and the Beast!!!! HH

Well Cliff, I gotta admit that Ariel is pretty hot too!!! LOL HH

Amen Sam! My heartfelt sympathies to the family. I have been watching this and hoping against hope that this would end well. My kids are in for a real hugging tonight. HH
-
I've learned that no matter how many Disney cartoons your kids make you watch, Tinker Bell is still a hottie! HH

Those are new to me as well! I would assume that they will work like any other in-line board... watch yer graph and put yer lures in front of the fish and you should be golden! HH

Awesome Beats!!!! The Thames is one of those body's of water that you just never know sometimes, what it's gonna give you! My PB on that river is just over 5lbs, mind you that was many moons ago! Keep at it and you will continue to be rewarded! HH

Those Raps won't dive beyond 6-8 ft, once you have 100ft of line or more out. I think the more important question that should be asked is how far out from the boat should your boards be running? Given the clarity of the water and the fact that those lake residing trout are not accustomed to boats/motors, I would very seriously consider running your boards out as far as you can, to get yer baits in front of boat flaring fish. HH

Really nice fish for that body of water...congrats! Just goes to show that if you wanna catch big fish, especially this time of year, ya gotta use big baits! HH

Well, I can't speak about current conditions, but 25 years ago, we used to catch Coho, Chinnies, Bows and Lakers at Springbank Dam, from about the end of August, until end to middle of September. Many were looking a lot worse for ware, but I still have an image in my mind of a huge bow that straightened the split ring on a buddy of mine! It jumped all over the river before the brass split ring on his Pixie spoon gave way. Those fishin the Thames will find most migratory species piled up at the Springbank Dam, once they finish repairing it. HH

Headhunter replied to Time2Fish's topic in General Discussion
Re marking fish and not catchin... do you know what your marking? Are you sure your marking eyes? If yer marking and not catchin, your either not deep enough, or too deep. HH -
Hey Roger, thanks for the report! I can that retirement is agreeing with you! With the new found time on yer hands, I suspect that those other angles will be looking over thier shoulders in the tournaments to come! HH

I have the Rouge valley in my backyard, actually, it is my backyard! I haven't seen a turkey yet, but I do have many deer, chipmunks, rabbits and hawks... and I hear that cougars frequent the Black Dog on Thursday nights! LOL HH

I would agree with Dan, launching at the ferry would save time and aggravation, should the winds pick up, however, depending on wind direction, that launch can be dicey as well. Having not ever stayed at Perfect Vue, I can't really answer specifically "What we are paying for"?. However, I can be pretty sure that we will not be paying for a dangerous launch, ice covered docks, arguments over who's in who's dock space, a complete disregard for your guests attitude, coming from ownership, mouse crap in the cutlery drawer, a cottage resembling swiss cheese... shall I go on?! Myself, the object of this mission is to fish! The cottage only needs to be warm and clean. I don't expect to be spending much time in it and I believe that most who are disgruntled with Merlands are not necessarily disappointed in the accommodations, just the lack of interest the ownership seems to have towards their guests. We will find out shortly, if Perfect view can rise above the low bar Merlands have established. HH

For those interested in Smith guitars, there are a number of them available on Craig's list and Kjiji. A fantastic way to get a top notch instrument at a pretty good price. HH

Doug, if memory serves me right, Carlos is a predominately Yamaha player. And yah, that Smith is really nice! HH

Wow Roy, that is a beauty!!!!! I don't have to tell you how much that sweetie is worth today... but I wouldn't be surprised if it is equal to a pretty nice new car!!! Current Gretsch Hollowbodies/ Country Gentleman are selling new for around 2-3K. An immaculate 61 like the one pictured in your link is a nice tidy down payment on a house!!!! I can only imagine what sweet sound emanate from that beauty! "any bass players?" Yup, one right here!!!! here's a link to a pic of some of my basses: http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/24538...103676882fySgKc Here's a link to the shop pics of my newest acquisition, I don't have any decent pics of the bass myself yet... http://www.clubbass.ca/instock/LG3000.html Ok, I have some... http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/28139...103676882tRCHzs And here is a shot of the family... hung! http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/24213...103676882yoTGTO HH
