  1. Terry, I'm gonna steal the Walley Driver and drive over it with my truck.... then, you'll only have one lure to bring! HH
  2. Brian, I'll be bringing two rods...both line counter reels on Shimano TDR rods, 8 footers. One reel spooled with 20 lb mono and one reel spooled with lead core. Guys will tell you to use braid and floro, I believe that you need the stretch inherent in mono to absorb the hit and fight...JMHO! Obviously being attached to in-line planer boards... Baits: Reef Runners (clown) Raps, Mann's Stretch 20, 25 and 30's maybe even some spoons! Hope this helps? HH
  3. Thanks for the help Lloyd... I really didn't need a guide at the kitchen table, but I appreciate the effort you put forth, in guiding me towards cerebral bliss... that turned into a body smack... but fun all the same! HH
  4. You know, these things happen to the best of family and friends! HH
  5. Yup, Lloyd was the tonic you needed Wayne... great pics and reports! HH
  6. And yet another reason to wear boots! HH
  7. John, chumming requires that you actually EAT something! I like to think of it more as "steeping" HH
  8. I blame Lloyd for that! But if I recall correctly, others were shall we say "hurtin" the next morning! Hey, I dug deep and made the trip... probably would have caught more fish, had I stayed at the cottage! LMAO HH
  9. Well Wayne, I believe Lloyd's boat is the only boat at the GTG that has a bed... so ..... ... I'll bring the pink gloves! HH
  10. "I'm jealous of all you young budgers partying all night and still able to get up in the morning and fish. Back in the day I coulda kept up, even set the pace, but now, in my advanced years, I'm afraid I'm a liteweight when it comes to serious partying. I'll probably get a sympathy hangover just knowing how much hurt yer all gonna lay on yerselves. But the cigars sound good. JF " Well John, I can see where you are coming from and typically these GTG's require a few days of R & R (recoup and resusitate SP) afterwards. Luckily for some of us, we have had a great deal of practice in the past and are doing everything we possibly can, to stay in practice and utillize these hard won skills. HH PS... a most of us will be trolling for our Pickereyes, only the boat driver actually has to stay awake! LMAO
  11. Nice Wayne! Can't help but notice that many of the fish pictured seem to be rather slim (something I'm not personally familiar with!LOL). Perhaps as you travel Temagami, you could drop some sandwiches or something, so those poor skinny fish can put on a few pounds! Lookin forward to the next post! HH
  12. Yet another BUMP!... and Wayne, Shoeless Joe's can't be me, I'll be wearing boots! HH
  13. I think I know that lake in the 1st pic! Surprised that fire is still going! Nice to have you back Wanye... any idea how to repair some aluminum?LMAO! HH
  14. When isn't it time Wayne! LOL HH
  15. Nice report GCD! Would it kill yah to put yer life jacket on! LMAO! HH
  16. Having spoken to Bernie's Dad on this very subject, I would suggest that things are not a rosey as they may seem. I know that Bernie will not talk about this subject, but when I hear his Dad's story's about the past and his theories as to why we are where we are....I'll keep my mouth shut, so I don't lose posting privilages here. HH
  17. Should you be unfortunate enough to catch a snapper while fishing as I have, I'll let you know what worked for me. I had hooked a snapper in the front paddle, while carp fishing. Once I had it on shore, it was shall we say, a little less then pleased... all hissy and stuff. I grabbed a faily large and thick stick and waved it in the turtle's face. He immedately grabbed the stick and would not let go, until I let the stick go. So, should you catch one, try waving a stick at it's mouth, don't let go of it and then, get yer hook out of it! HH
  18. I have to agree with Bushart... What you have asked for is essentially what has been written many times and would end up being a novel of "EPIC" proportions. My best tip to you is to watch you electronics and keep your baits just above the fish you see on the graph. How you achieve this is again, another topic of epic proportions. Pickereye fishing is rally no different than fishing any other species... you simply have to put your baits in front of the fish. They are top predators and they will eat. HH
  19. Oh, your right Will... my only question being, would I have a finer coiff had we been running a four stroke instead of a two stroke? HH
  20. Two words... COLD FX! Done... take it every day on a maintenance schedule and your far less like to have to endure the flu or cold and if you do get it, the symptoms are far less severe. IMHO and experience. HH
  21. I neglected to mention earlier and I'm sure many of you are wondering, but yes, hair styling in the above was provided by our good friends at Mercury! HH
  22. We couldn't take pics... our offical photogragher was on a plane to Lebanon! HH
  23. Beer: Steam Whistle or Grolsch (morning beer - Bud or MGD) Booze: VODKA - a lemon wedge, rolled in sugar, pretend it's tequila! Or tons of ice, some tonic and a lime wedge or easily relaced vodka with GIN! HH
  24. It's my day job! HH
