Thanks for the report and info! Great pics and some nice Pickereyes there! Should an interesting weekend coming up, with the "slight" cold front moving through tonight and Thursday/Friday... HH

Thanks for the report! Just a reminder to all fishing the GTG this weekend... 30 ft should be the lowest you go down, if you plan on releasing these fish... looking forward to staring a planer boards in three days! HH

Kosher salt does not contain Iodine... and therefore does not have that nasty after taste that most salts do. Even most Sea Salt has Iodine added... However, Iondine is poisonous so I have to wonder why they put it in! BillyBob's recipe sounds/looks great... I would even consider covering the whole roast in Dijon Mustard and whole pepper corns... HH

The Leaf's need for a bona fide top line centre has been going on for so long, it's actually tunring into a joke! Does anyone else remember a guy named Sundin and how we constantly heard about how difficult it was to find a centre who could play with him... The more things change, the more they stay the same! HH

Fall BOQ Pickereyes are typically Lake O residents, the rest of the year... the resident Pickereye population does have to contend with what ever the rivers systems dump into the bay, from the Kawarthas. All of the Kawarthas... that's a lot of farm land to be passing through. Resident Pickereyes do not taste good, IMHO/IME, so no, I won't eat them either. Most of the fall run Pickereyes are much too large to eat. so they go back as well. HH

Guys, it's my understanding that the fee for plastic bags go entirely to the retailer... believe it or not, the Government then expects them to use that money towared environemnetal issues within that company. Loblaws for example has used this money to fund a number of initiatives geared toward "green" solutions. There is not legislation in place that requires these companies to use these monies in any particular way. The only money the Governement will see out of the sale of plastic bags is taxation on the bags. And that my friend s is a whole new can of worms. BillyBob, you continually amaze me with your beliefs! I hope that I never have to rely on you or people like you and thank the powers that be, that I don't have to live in the manner you have chosen... which imho is completely self oriented... and just so yah know, I'm a true bue conservative on this side of the border! Well, I'm back to living in familiar territory again! As I mentioned in an earlier post about the Leafs, I asked the haters to allows us leaf fans to enjoy the moment, as history has indicated that their success would be fleeting... and obviously it was! LOL The team seems to me anyway, to be lacking motivation. They come out of the dressing room for the beginning of the game and they all look totally dis-interested... but come the 3rd period, they are actually starting to skate... unfortunately by that point in the game, they are typically already way behind and struggling to get back in the game. I really have a hard time understanding how a professional athlete can have a difficult time getting motivated. They simply have to look at their bank deposit slips and that in itself, should be motivation! I think that they must be some sort of dis-connect between the coaching staff and the team... is it not the role of the coaches to get the team fired up for a game? During their "fast start", they out worked and out skated their opponents... haven't seen anything like that in the last number of games... Maybe they need some tough love? Maybe they need to have their cheques held for some time, to get them motivated or maybe, just maybe, we are once again seening the ugly "I'm a Toronto Maple Leaf, so it doesn't matter what I do, everyone makes money" syndrom we have been tarnished with for decades! it won't be long before the "fans" start booing players again and yah know what, I think it warranted... You pay you're dough, you get a say. Maybe that in of it's self, will get these guys motivated. the Marlies aren't far away, I'd be having cabs waiting outside the Ricoh Centre to send players back and forth! HH Ps... but it's still better than being a Sens fan! LMAO!

Thanks for the report... that looks like an awesome day! HH

Yah, I'm pretty sure that Mike will catch another double digit eye! That would be the ideal "repeat". Randy, if you can find someone to come down with you, we have room for one in the cottage (w/bed) and one on the couch! I'm pretty confident that if you can make it, we will have a decent time!LOL ... and nothing wrong with being a Lesbian Lincoln... rugs need to be cleaned to.. yah know! HH

We picked you up in Will's truck, you were some what "over served" the previous night and passed out in the back of Will's truck, until we got to Simcoe... then you fished like a trooper all day! Let me know when you find a topless candy store, that would peak my interest! HH
-
LincolnG... well, I usually don't admitt these types of things on an open forum like this, but I have fished with you a couple of winters ago... out with Will on Lady Simcoe for Whities! As far as the Quinte GTG is concerned, we can almost always find a way to fit in one more... but boat space may be a problem... Get ahold of Will, he knows what we are up to and we can go from there! HH

Hey, we'll swap you Wilson for Ruff any day of the week! HH

Might the cold temps have an effect on battery life? HH -
Soooooo...anyone catch the score tonight?
Headhunter replied to muskymatt's topic in General Discussion
I would hazard a bet that there were a number of Sens fans wearing a hole in their couches during the last ten minutes of last nights game! And I would also bet that most Leaf fans have become so used to their losing ways that last nights loss is nothing more than yet another distant memory... HH -
You have to cover a ton of water to find active fish. The Bay has really changed since the zebra's showed up. I would firstly, try and find productive water away from the crowds as these fish are not used to boats, they live in Lake O most of their lives. I'm not at all surprised guys are having a hard time gettin'em... Don't forget to try the top ten feet of water on your troll, especially if there is some decent wave action that day, or it's a dark cloudy day. Shiney baits for sunny days and dark baits for cloudy days. Tight wobble baits will out fish wide wobble baits. HH

Float fishing for deer ???
Headhunter replied to rippinlipsfishingteam's topic in General Discussion
Nice pic and story! I didn't know that deer liked marshmellows! HH -
If I was going to fish Quinte in the next week or two, I would be concentrating on Adolphus Reach, from the gap to the ferry. After that time frame, I would be looking mostly from the ferry to Hay Bay, with Picton harbour being a main focus. HH
