  1. How else will the troll become fat enough for us to properly cook if we don't feed him Doc! The correct answer has been stated, both actions will get you fined! HH
  2. Roy, stay out of the water, the salmon and trout are after small, bright things, yah know. HH
  3. But do they come in pink John???? HH
  4. Metro has no name marshmellows on sale this week for $.99 a bag. Unfortunately, being they are no name, there is very little if any variety availble, just the standard large size and all in white. Good luck boys! HH
  5. There are plenty of Pike where the river empties in the French River, not far from Hartley Bay. Take a look at Allen Lake, near the mouth of the river and you will find plenty of pike... big one's well I'll leave that up to you. The river is quite small, more of a creek at the Killarney road... you might get a canoe down it... maybe. HH
  6. Phil, If she has strong office admin skills, including typing skills, there are many law offices that will take people on a part time basis to help them stay organized and to do typing for them. I would connect, using your local yellow pages and let them know that she is available for this kind of work. Helps to keep her local if you contact lawyers in your town or region. Just my first thought on the matter... maybe more to come!!! HH
  7. Thanks for posting that Ron... at least we now know the truth... HH
  8. Calling the Thames a "river" is really somewhat of an exageration... it's a creek, with many places being clay bottomed, with many sewers emptying into it. It will almost always be muddy, especially when Springbank Dam is up. Try the Kilworth bridge area and downstream to the Komoka bridge. Good smallie water. HH
  9. No, Lloyd runs a charter boat on Quinte, in the fall. I'm sure though, that he could suggest accomodations for you. Lloyd will work his ass off for you, to put you on fish. How do I know this, well I have seen it first hand. Last fall I saw Wayne hanging off the back of Lloyd's boat, with a long net, reaching for something in the water. Terry was holding his feet so he wouldn't fall in and I could hear Dano yelling "if it's not a white perch, I don't want it". Turns out they were trying to retrieve Lloyd's ass as it had fallen overboard during a frenzie of activity. HH
  10. Exactly what I was thinking Roy, hence my question. Contact "Fishhunter", he's a member here and well, you will be hard pressed to find more trophy Pickereyes than what are available in Quinte and Lloyd's a geat guy. So, there you have it! My work here is done. HH
  11. What is your target species? HH
  12. Hey John, Be careful if you do head down in your canoe... water levels are down and I wouldn't want you to bottom out on a rock! (Just a little bad humour for yah!) HH
  13. "Hope" relies on the good will of others. I don't see that here. What I see are a group of people who have been frustrated, trying to develop an even larger market for their wares. They have not been able to sell their fish to just anyone in the past as their processing systems was inadequate with regard to provincial standards. The opening of this plant, just opened up an entirely new market for "their" fish. Seems to me that then have just been given a green light to catch and process as many fish as they can sell, which historically they couldn't do. I've seen the look on locals faces as they "hope" that their lake will return to its glory days... hope is quickly diminishing. HH
  14. They have increased their ability to process fish. They have different rules than the majority of citizens of the province. They will catch more fish, reducing stocks in an already stuggling lake. I have to return slot fish, they get to clean and sell them... so please someone tell me why this is a good thing. Be sure in knowing that this will not stop the $2.00 fisherman from selling his fish. It simply sets up a more "accepted" method of processing. It does nothing to help fish stock sustainability. HH
  15. Looks great Brian! I would have thought though, that you would have made room for that "extra" love seat you had in your possesion! Might look pretty appealing after a long day on the water! LMAO HH
  16. Does this shirt count! LMAO http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=45867 HH
  17. Wow Plil, scarey stuff and very glad your ok... I was taking a walk long the Lake O shoreline last year with my wife and kids. Close to home down near Rouge Beach. I spooted what looked like a big cluster of Rasberrys so thought I'd wade into the brush to grab a few for my daughter, she loves them. Not 30 seconds after getting in there, I started to feel like I was being stung, multiple times. Seems the fire ants we "protecting" these bushes. I got covered in bites, a none to appealing feeling I'll tell yah! After getting them off of me, we rushed home for me to have a shower and that finally took the stinging away. Luckily, I did'nt suffer a reation, but it was definately not something I have the will to repeat! HH
  18. Had a blast Will... not surprising really, we always find a way to laugh all day! Not everybody can get away with wearing a shirt like that one, eh Chris! LMAO Definately a blast catching those fish and I traded off with Rubin and I kept the small one, he took home to 15 lber. I had almost forgotten that we were having dinner guests Saturday night, they were at my place when we got home... luckily, I had some steaks in the freezer and the ladies were really excited about having fish for supper so, the smaller one hit the BBQ, with some Teriaki sausce, some garlic and ginger... the girls were happy. Too bad about the smallies, but atleast we can feel confident that we gave it the old college try! Anytime you want to head out again Will, you know my number! HH
