Fished 7:00am to 1:00pm Here's how the count REALLY went! HH -159 - I did say in my post a couple of days ago, I was gonna put a hurt on some perch! FishnSled - 150 CCMT - 88 Rubin - 59 It was non stop action all day... I fished the first hole I dropped a line in for about 2 hours before I made the big move, about 10 feet to the next hole and I think I fished it for another two! The perch on Cook's are being very cooperative... and in many cases, they were on the bait before we could flip over our bail! Jiggin Raps, with Berkley power maggots were the ticket and having either a very sensitive rod or a cheater on your rod were also huge! I'm already itching to get out again... but the weather doesn't look too good for the next couple of days! Would have been nice to have you join us Terry, but always better ato be safe than sorry. Thanks for doing the report Cliff... nest time, I'm going to lap yah! LMAO! HH

Day three: Seems to be better today... but still no appetite and the song "Aqualung" comes to mind! Tylenal night time has proven for me anyway, to be the ticket to a good nights sleep. Something I haven't had for a couple of nights. Thank god this isn't a very busy time of the year! And the green apple two step seems to have arrived!!!! HH -

My wife has been sick for two weeks, my daughter picked it up on the weekend and I awoke this morning with a sore throat and runny nose... Oh joy, oh bliss! The best cure I can think of, although not at all attractive, is to drill a few holes, slaughter some perch and have all that nastyness, pour outta me in the cold... that and of course a few Ceasers! HH -
We can close this thread as I just got off the phone with my friend and he has sourced one on his own... thanks to everyone who posted! HH

I'll connect with my friend ans see if he can find his way to the Hammer to work something out. thanks, HH

Lookin for some help here if you can. I have a buddy who intends on buying a 4 inch ice auger. He has an 8inch for fishing, but wants a 4 inch to use with his finder and camera and is hoping a four inch would be an easier drill through thick ice... Anyone know where they came be gotten? Have tried most of the local shops and searched high and low on the web, nothing to be found. Any help would be greatly appreciated! HH

Ok, here's one I'm pretty sure that many have not heard for quite a number of years... Canada's first "punk" band and a band that heavily influenced many that came after... Ladies and gentlemen... I give you The Demics! HH -

My first job, working in Toronto, was at the main store of Sam the Record Man... you are correct to some degree in that Sam's older brother Sid, did have interests in properties on Yonge Street. Actually he owned many of the buildings on Yonge, between Dundas and Gerrard street. Including I beleive, the old A&A records building. Sam made most of his money distributing records to his franchised stores across the country... not much if any at the flagship store. Actually, the flagship store was intended to be a tax right off for his distribution company, Roblans. Roblans is/was located on Church street, just north of Dundas. As a tax shelter, he would sell his records to his stores at the suggested retail price, then sell them at the retail level, to the customers at a lower price. The stores showed a loss, the distributor, a profit. The lion's share of profit at the retail level was garnered from what were called "catalogue" releases, stuff that was not a "new release". These items were almost always sold at full price. Funny, go for a walk up Yonge street today and most of the old building has been torn down, making way for the new Ryerson building. HH ... oh and here's a nice Canadian boy rockin his brains out! -
Or... Robert's your father's brother! HH

Sorry for the delay in reporting this... I was in the Ajax Costco on Sunday and they have this http://www.costco.ca/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=10329725&search=Ice%20Auger&topnav=&Mo=0&cm_re=1_en-_-Top_Left_Nav-_-Top_search&lang=en-CA&Nr=P_CatalogName:BCCA&N=0&whse=BCCA&Dx=mode%20matchallpartial&Ntk=Text_Search&Dr=P_CatalogName:BCCA&Ne=4000000&D=Ice%20Auger&Ntt=Ice%20Auger&No=0&Nty=1&Ntx=mode%20matchallpartial in stock, actually they had 6 in stock on Sunday. The price was $289.00, which I thought was a good deal. Anyway, just thought I'd pass this along for those on the market for a new auger. HH

Well Doc, I can tell that both cars on the northern road will get through no problem, however, when the volume of traffic and the collective intelligence of a garden slug hit the roads down here, well common sense become a sale item at Walmart! Yah also gotta remember that last year, we had no snow and people's memories are pretty short, when life gets in the way of their plans. HH
