I have to agree with this ^ And I'd probably pay to watch the show again, if they removed that background music and allowed us to hear what was actually said during the filming. Having met "Red" a couple of times, I would guess that a show like that would probably be sequestered to late night viewing! Language would have been colourful to say the least! HH

I've seen them attack a stainless steel prop travelling at 50 MPH and funny enough, the bird lost the fight! HH

To me, the best Pickereyes come from Nip... they just taste better then most places and they are readily available along most shore lines, just look for the processing plant. Lake Erie Pickereyes taste pretty darn good as well and even the bigger ones are fine table fare. They can be found at your local Loblaws. I would not suggest eating Pickereyes out of Quinte, they usually taste like compared to the above two locations...and no, you can't find them at your local supermarket. I hope this helps yah! HH

Sam's off to a great start G! He seems to have some natural ability and a strong ear. He could probably use some lessons, if for no other reason than to shorten his learning curve. I would also suggest that he use this tool http://www.metronomeonline.com/ in his practice... Keep at it Sam! As long as you enjoy the time spent on an instrument, it is time very well spent! (And we aren't even going to discuss the chicks in his future! LOL) Play that thing till yer fingers bleed Sam! HH

Upcoming snow storm.. (NF) Finally got an answer!
Headhunter replied to Gerritt's topic in General Discussion
Armageddon!!!!! I've cleared my schedule for Wednesday and at this point, plan on being home... now before you all get high and mighty on me, a little background! I grew up in London, snow is mainly just an inconvenience for me! I love driving in it, heck, I even like shovelling the stuff as it is a time I get to share with my neighbours as we all clean up. My main reason for "planning" to stay home is the fact that I take the Go Train to work and well, they don't actually have the best record of service during any snow, much less what they are calling for here tomorrow. So, I'll likely be home Wednesday, good time to get some things done and enjoy the peacefulness that an empty house brings. HH -
I've always thought you were an excellent person Terry! HH

Blondes Explaining Easter Three blondes died and found themselves standing before St. Peter. He told them that before they could enter the Kingdom, they had to tell him what Easter represented. The first blonde, an American, said "Easter is a holiday where they have a big feast and we give thanks and eat turkey." St. Peter said, "Noooooo," and wouldn't let her in. The second blonde, a Brit, said "Easter is when we celebrate Jesus's birth and exchange gifts." St. Peter said, "Noooooo," and he wouldn't let her in either. The third blonde, a Canadian, said she knew what Easter was, and St.Peter said, "So, tell me." She said, "Easter is a Christian holiday that coincides with the Jewish festival of Passover. Jesus was having Passover feast with his disciples when he was betrayed by Judas, and the Romans arrested him. The Romans hung him on the cross and eventually he died. Then they buried him in a tomb behind a very large boulder ... " St. Peter said, "Verrrrrry good." Then the blonde continued, "Now, every year the Jews roll away the boulder and Jesus comes out. If he sees his shadow, we have six more weeks of hockey." St. Peter fainted. HH

Lincoln, had you not prioritized your "Fishing with Lesbians" classes, you would already have your new auger in hand... To quote Clint Eastwood, a man's got to know his limitations! HH

i've been fortunate enough to fish with quite a few OFC'ers... and I can say that none that I have fished with, would be folks who I wouldn't do it again with! Now, who would I like to fish with is a much garded secret and those lucky few will receive that special invitation in due time.... HH

Hey CLiff, Still got a copy of Brown Eyed Girl from Bernie's last year! LMAO HH

I bought a pair almost 20 years ago! I still have them and I still wear them fishing! Admittedly, they are not really the fashion statement they once were, but they are the best I have owned! Good to hear that they match an excellent product with great customer service! HH

Leo Fender sold his guitar making business to CBS in the 70's... he could not use his name on any further business ventures... heck, he couldn't even use the same shaped headstock on his instruments. (It was the only part of his instruments he actually trademarked when he owned the company. He then opened Music Mann and produced instruments under that name, until he sold that business to Ernie Ball. He then opened up a company called G&L and ran that company until his unfortunate passing. So, here is a guy that basically "invented" and or marketed the first electric guitar/bass and was swallowed up by much larger organizations. There are many who will debate the quality changes that occured once new ownership had taken over, but as has been mentioned in an earlier post, it is the way of the world... Another example... Microsoft! Rather than try and reinvent the wheel, Microsoft has made it a huge part of their business model to simply buy ideas.... HH

First of all, thanks to all who have replied to this thread and to those who have PM'd me... I spoke with him this morning and he is considering what you guys have said... He seems to be leaning toward try before you buy and will in all likelyhood, be test driving them in the spring. Does anyone have any experience with Legend boats? If you'd rather not discuss thisn in the open forum, please feel free to PM me.. Thanks HH
-
Thanks Mercman! Do you have hands on experience with these boats? HH
