  1. Seriously??? Are you being sarcastic? They have one of the highest if not the highest ticket prices in the league; they sell out pretty well every game. They also make money on TV contracts and merchandise. His salary is a drop in the bucket compared the revenue the team rakes in. The salaries are a fraction of what they would be without the salary cap; and they were making plenty of profit before the salary caps was implemented. They will not be hurting for cash.
  2. You will be taking a risk if you order it now. There is no gaurantee that the Lily will ever hit the market. If it never hits the market you will not be getting your money back. You can pay $500 and maybe receive one in February; or, wait until it hits the market and pay $1,000 with a reaonsable assurance of actually receiving something for your money.
  3. Hybrids have rounded fins. Only pure muskies have pointed fins and tail.
  4. I usually disconnect mine; but I have not had a problem when I forget.
  5. Just drift over a weed bed and cast with spinner baits or lipless cranks. I have caught a lot of fish with that technique. Wind will keep off Lake Ontario; but nothing less than a hurricane or tornado is going to be an issue in the Kawarthas.
  6. Either option will solve your problem. Rebuilding will be somewhat cheaper; however, a brand new aluminum prop is not usually too expensive. In some cases you can swap your prop for another rebuilt one for the same price as having your own prop rebuilt. That way you do not have to wait.
  7. I think the spun prop hub is the mose likely cause. That shouldn't be too expensive if you are running an aluminum prop. I paid just over $100 for a rebuilt prop for a 50 hp Mercury.
  8. Interesting product. http://www.ultraskiff.com/
  9. Do you have another battery that you can connect to the charger? If it only does it with one battery then if may be the battery that is a problem (sometimes bad batteries can show as fully charged). If it has the same problem with all batteries, then it is the charger.
  10. Yes, if you are driving a motorized boat (even if it is just an electric motor) you need a harbour license around the islands. The public boat launches are Ashbridges Bay to the east or the Humber River to the west.
  11. I don't think you are likely to catch a pike off the piers at Port Union Road. If you do. please let me know. You might get one by the boat launch at Bluffers.
  12. Someone mentioned a few posts back to stay away from Goodman.
  13. Algonquin allows boats on Lake Opeogno. Motor boats are allowed on some other lakes too; but some of them may have horsepower limits.
  14. Prior to 2005 the municipalities did not receive any money from gas taxes. So if it is a municipal road that is at least 10 years old then it was built with money from property taxes. Only a small portion of the roads the have bicycle lanes, so the 20% figure is moot. E.g. if 5% of roads have bike lanes and the bike lanes comprise an average of 20% of the width of the road; then only 1% of our road ways would be bicycle lanes. I agree that many cyclist need to do a better job of following the rules of the road. But, then again, so could a lot of drivers.
  15. He is probably referring to the gas taxes collected by the federal and provincial governments. The federal government does not build many roads. But around 2005 the federal government started giving municipalities a small portion of the taxes that they collect on gasoline. The province does build highways. So, in a sense the car drivers are paying for these highways through their gas taxes. However, in actual fact the gas taxes go into general revenues; they do not directly fund highway contruction. Municipal roads, which is where most people ride bikes, are paid primarily through property taxes. So, cyclist who are not homeless would be paying their fair share of these roads. Considering how little road space cyclist need in relation to car drives, combined with the fact the most cyclist use municipal roads, one could argue that cyclist are actually paying more than their fair share for roads.
  16. I don't think they would be allowed to deduct the donations from customers on their taxes. They certainly shouldn't be able to do that.
  17. I know that pond. I don't think that you are allowed there anymore. You can try one of the piers at the end of Port Union Rd. There are fish, but I don't think the chance of catching a bass if very high.
  18. So, Ottawa is not the only one: https://ca.news.yahoo.com/video/montreal-hockey-fans-react-lightning-225147141.html You would think that they would be happy to have someone travel to their state to watch a game.
  19. It would be 0.16". But I think you have the correct interpretation.
  20. I don't think it a case that you need to get both at the same time. Replacing both at the same time is lot cheaper than replacing each one individually. If you replace your A/C now and your furnace two years from now you will spend more than if you replace them both at once. Based on the age of your units; I would replace both.
  21. What about Walmart? They are good for batteries too. I saw group 24 deep cycles there for $100 and group 27 for $112. I didn't check the prices for a marine starting battery. Those are GTA prices, but I think they have the same prices everywhere.
  22. Wouldn't it be up to them to prove that you did?

  24. I use Navigloo. I am happy with it so far. I have only used it for two winters. I ordered mine from Costco. I only use it for winter storage. http://www.navigloo.com/
  25. You could chip of a piece and see if it floats. I know I had a piece of foam come loose and end up in the bilge; it sank. My whole boat sank shortly after that. I would definitely want some foam or other floatation in there. Hopefully you never need it. But if you do, you (and your family) will be glad it it there. If you are replacing the foam, you could consider adding empty two liter pop bottles with the caps on.
