  1. It should be in Wednesday's paper... I think/ Cheers, Ron...
  2. You are in our thoughts and Prayers also Mr. Parker. Having met your Dad, I know he is a strong person and having you as a Son would make him stubborn. That makes for a good cocktail to fight this battle. We are here for you and your family bud. Cheers, Ron...
  3. As expected, my ticket was quashed. They quashed the ticket just moments before we were to appear in court. Even though it was quashed, we still had our opportunity to speak before the Justice of the Peace to have on record, we will be seeking costs related to further charges in relation to fishing within Provincially regulated waters pertaining to the Cobourg Harbour. We did not get an explanation for the reason of dropping the fine other than only what I can presume my notice to appear for trial the ticket was changed from "Fishing on Pier" to "Burning of prohibited debris". Yes, they changed the charge to "Burning of prohibited debris"?????? I look forward to seeing the write up in Cobourg's news paper. Right now, I am on my way out the door to wet a line in the Cobourg Harbour! Our next move on this By-Law is to address the Town Council. We have requested to speak on Sept 19 at 7PM. All are welcome to support us for this Presentation by showing up to the meeting. I would like to thank Mike Brown for helping me with this case. The letter from the Ministry of Natural Resources was of great benefit as well. So if the Peterborough District MNR office is reading this, please give thanks to a certain person in particular for writing up such a well documented letter. Thanks to everyone for your support on this as well. Cheers Ron........
  4. Well, today is my day in Court. There is a lot of information which I can not fully bring out to the public at this point. I will keep everyone posted later on today once it is clarified or if it gets remanded. Cheers, Ron...
  5. BULL FROG EGGS This is the jelly from Bull Frog eggs. Cheers, Ron...
  6. I am finding my eye sight is getting poorer this year so I switched to 10 and 20 lb hi vis yellow PP. I don't think it hinders my hook up rates. I still use a 3ft minimum 10-17lb flouro leader. Harrison can vouch for the catching abilities with this set up. Cheers, Ron...
  7. Grabbing the bull by the horns...... Great to see you back in the saddle doing this tourney for the kids once again! Cheers, Ron...
  8. Great find there Mike and also for a great cause!
  9. Kewl Roy! Like you said, to see that last part of the clip, sweat to GOD that bird was riding a skateboard! Cheers, Ron...

Michigan Crickets are my preferred lure.
  11. Anyone that has ever fished Lingham Lake and did not eat Large mouth bass or Small mouth bass from that lake has missed out on some of the best tasting fish in Ontario. when we went into Lingham, we went with canoe, fish was our staple for dinner every night.
  12. It's nice of you to share your passion with the younger generation Kelvin. I think it is a great way to get kids involved and interested in the great out doors. Good on ya bud. Cheers, Ron...
  13. Nice stuff Dan. Perhaps I will mosey on up with Keith on the long weekend in Sept. Hey, you never know, I might even bring my locksmith gear with me so we don't have to climb in through windows! Cheers, Ron...
  14. Get a qualified electrician for this one. Seems as though you got a complete blender in the makes. This is not something to fool around with. I wouldn't even try to attempt to explain it over the internet on how to repair this.
  15. Nice fishy ya got there Norm. I have only been out 2 times for ol bugle mouths. Perhaps this weekend I will put an effort into it. Cheers, Ron...
  16. Nice catch and nice to discover a new lake. Just a pointer for those that fish in canoes, if you find your drift too fast, go to shore and trim off a branch. Tie one end to a rope and the rope to the canoe. Presto, you instantly have a drift sock. Cheers, Ron...
  17. That's my boy! Dang I am proud of my son! NOW GET OUT OF MY POND!
  18. Don't care about the bass, well I do, but is that a Prospector "elite" Kevlar canoe with a full keel? I had the exact same one. Nice and light, could lift it up with one hand and hold it away from my body at a 90. 36lbs if I recall.
  19. Yup, that's the one. Grant Mills, super nice guy he is. Cheers, Ron...
  20. There is an authorized Minnkota repair shop just off of Brock Rd. in Pickering as well. The name escapes me but I hope someone else will know the name of the joint.
  21. Thanks again everyone for you support. There is definitely one outcome out all of this.... I will be fishing at the Cobourg Harbour immediately after the trial. I am by all means not organizing an event on August 22nd, but I can't stop you from fishing yourselves. Be forwarned though, you are on your own responsibility for a good chance of receiving a warning or a ticket. Myself, I will be on the East Pier at 1:00pm provided I am out of court at that time. Cheers, Ron...
  22. Thanks for the offers everyone. At this point in time, I won't need any financial assistance. However, if this motion gets carried to the next level it may end up being a little on costly side. I can't say any more for the time being but the Town of Cobourg lawyers will have some work on their hands. The most important part for the time being, is getting the reversal on the right to fish in Provincially legislated waters. As for moral support, lets hold off on that as well until the next court date as I am certain there will be additional court dates. This will be a preliminary I assume. Cheers, Ron...
  23. Just an update for everyone. I received my court date for fishing in the Cobourg Harbour. It is set for Monday August 22nd, 2011. For those of you who fish the tribs in the Town of Cobourg, wish me luck! The bylaw they charged me under, they could essentially fine everyone who fishes on Public property owned by the Town of Cobourg. I will post the outcome once all this hoopla is over. Cheers, Ron...
