  1. Just want to say "THANKS" to Mercman. Talk about service. I ordered parts, and he got them to my door a day later! I look forward to dealing with you in the future. Oh and thanks for the complimentary screwdriver! lmao.... Cheers, Ron....
  2. I would be willing to drive the 3 hours if it was on a weekend or a Friday night. I would end up making a weekend out of it by fishing the area too. I met back then "EH" for the first time. You know, there are some things you regret in life... and that wasn't one of them. Can't forget the "Jester". Good times it was. Cheers, Ron...
  3. Very impressive Chris. It just amazes me on how much talent there is on this web site, you being one of them. Where as I am only gifted or so my Mom told me.
  4. Hey, I think I will send Mercman a PM, from what I have been told, you can't beat his service or prices. Thanks guys! Cheers, Ron...
  5. Hey all, Just curious if anyone has dealt with this Canadian based website for ordering parts for a Maytag dryer. If you have ordered parts on line with another company, who were they and what was the service like? Thanks for any input. Cheers, Ron...
  6. I go with 5 lbs. It's the best of both worlds. You can take your sweat time fighting the fish and there is just enough resistance to think you will appreciate the strength of the fish. Then again I am using felt covered hooks so as to not harm the fish.
  7. BPS Pro Qualifier. I use mine year round, It's the only gear i wear Ice fishing. I take out the liner for Spring Summer and Fall. They have made them with new material this year. I am field testing it now and so far so good. I had to buy a new set as my last ones gave up the ghost after 5 years of use. They were washed so many time the outer shell was no longer water repellant! To me, I have not found anything remotely as good of product as the Pro Qualifiers.
  8. Your right, Best for people as ignorant as you are, might better stay away. Then again, maybe you should move here and if we're lucky you will catch some of that stuff your talking about. Would be a nice way of culling the gene pool.
  9. I will stick to my Islander, simply because it IS close to the cork. I find this more comfortable because on how you hold a pin, I can easily take control with one of 3 fingers.
  10. Tks..... I now understand the saying.... The sky is falling! The sky is falling! It's not easy doing clouds either. Cheers, Ron...
  11. I agree with you, double up on the charts, I did for my Lowrance too, I have the HDS units linked together and with the Garmin on the console, I use it to get me to the spots and then I can fine tune on the Lowarnce. When fine tunig areas, I don't really need the maps but they do give a better reference association on where you are. My 276C has lost it's internal over a year ago. I simply turn unit on on my way out the door, plug it in the cig lighter, by the time I am at the lake, it is locked in and ready to go. I also use my garmin for navigating in the truck. Too bad you can't link Garmin and Lowrance together..... Cheers, Ron...
  12. I also have the Garmin 276C, awesome unit. I also have 2 HDS5's on board with platinum and hotmaps. They both have their advantages. If I had to choose just one... Garmin 276C hands down. Cheers, Ron...
  13. Tks It is actually Gortex Pro Qualifier rain gear. Keeps the slime off us and therefore out of the truck. Cheers, Ron...
  14. A good friend and myself planned a trip for Muskie. After a stop to get some of Mike's Handlebarz dbl 10's we were off to see if we can hook into at least one muskie for the weekend. What happened after launching the boat went beyond anyone's imagination! Not only did we boat a Muskie, but we boated 4 Muskie over 50 inches over the weekend. I am still in shock! All fish came on Mike Parker's Handlebarz dbl 10's. He is selling these way too cheap if you ask me. The quality is beyond any Cowgirl I have seen, especially for the price! Blazin Walleye coughed up a few and a few other "custom" colors did the rest of the work. Thanks for maken them up for us Mike, muchly appreciated! Here is Mike's web site if anyone is interested... http://www.handlebarzmuskylures.com Cheers, Ron...
  15. OK, so the truth comes out.... There is no way he is my Son. Loosing tackle like that in the river and being caught on tape is just hilarious!!! I like the first 2 videos you posted as well. And do you think there is a shortage of COs??? Cheers, Ron...
  16. The date is September 30th. Give Ben a call for more info. He can be reached at 905 797-2632
  17. Gee thanks for posting that Mike.... Your a great friend..... NOT! Hey it was all in great fun. I now understand why people claim to say they don't know how to fillet fish though. You gonna make it out Phil? Cheers, Ron...
  18. I got one of the Rapala RType float reel proto types if your interested. Only used a couple of times.
  19. This is how I clean my pike now.
  20. You know, with the proper size bolt (threaded rod 3/8" I believe) you can easily convert your hand grinder to an electric drill grinder.... The last time I did up sausage, we went with a 60-30 mixture. However, we used cheap cut fatty pork butt roast instead of straight pork fat. Substitute 50% of water added with 50% stewing tomatoes as well. Instead of makeing sausage links, we made patties. Cheers, Ron...
  21. I would agree with banning of roe but of course the limit would have to be dropped on the great lakes to a limit of 2 first.
  22. Don't know if this helps or not but here is the schematics. http://fish.shimano.com/media/fishing/techdocs/en/CTE400_v1_m56577569830575829.pdf Cheers, Ron...
  23. Some great action Mike. And on top water to boot! I like the footage you got of them too. Cheers, Ron...
