Too funny. We had the same thing happen to us Saturday. that's the beauty of the new Terrova. Vertical jigging, hook a fish, fight fish and then move off while there is a barage of boats fighting to where you were. Funny actually, you would see anchor rope in 100ft lengths going overboard and while they were getting set up to fish, I would set the anchor mode on and fish away.

I understand why your buddy was so worn out. Did you see the ball cap the poor bugger was wearing???? It probably drained all his energy mentally, to have to carry them alone.

Nothing I like more to hear than getting kids hooked on fishing. Your absolutely right, stocked ponds were invented with kids in mind.

Nice to see ya'll getting out there. Was it busy on the Lake?

Glad to hear the pair of ya got out. And some decent fish to boot.... nice! Cheers, Ron...

Jeasus Matt, Don't tell me you were in charge of getting the fire started??? LMAO (Too funny!) Looks like a great trip. I miss the days of portageing into remote lakes, not finding another soul around you. Thanks for bringing back memories for me. Cheers, Ron...

Tks for the replies everyone. Yeah, a hoodie would have a warm welcome too. Surface temps ranged from 49-52 deg F. Friggen cold with just a jacket! Also to note, pay close attention on where you park if you launch from Inisfil. Signage is of great shortage. If the parking lot is full at the launch ramp, you have to park at lot F, which is up at the soccer fields. Not bad if you enjoy walking, bout a 15 minute delay to park and walk back. THEY DO NOT WANT FISHER PEOPLE IN INISFIL, I swear! 25 bucks to launch and 30 bucks for improper parking. Oh ya, DO NOT PARK OVER THE DIVIDING LINE, they will ding for that too. I'll be launching from Sibbald Point from now on. Cheers, Ron...

I wonder how many people who have tried this got hooked in their own lip... Cheers, Ron...

Nice! With so many seasons opening up this time of year, unfortunately I don't get time to have fun with the big brutes til July. Makes me want to rethink my priorities. Cheers, Ron...

With all this talk about the "big Whitefish die off" over the winter, I thought we would go and find out for ourselves... Our findings says all is still OK out there. A little tip for those venturing out there, slow down your presentation and down size your baits. We got them on darters sz 25. 65 - 80 FOW seemed to be the best depth for us as well. Cheers, Ron.

Hey M&S, This is never what a person wants to hear. Just glad to hear it was caught on time, for it could have been a lot worse. Take care of yourself in the hospital this weekend and hope things turn around for you come Tuesday. Thoughts are with you. Cheers, Ron...

I wish we had pictures of our Red Neck hot tub. It was an old claw foot bath tub, nice and deep. All we did is built a fire under that cast iron baby. Mind you, looks like you got room for 2 in your setup. Wish we had of kept our little ITEK swimming pool for you. The type that had a blow up ring on the top of it. It has the spots to hook up the hoses, came with a filter pump and everything. You could easily have 4 adults in it at the same time. Might be something to think about, maybe KIJII...

Sorry can't help ya out on this one. I can't say I know of anyone using this.

no problem at all. So long as you are not hunting with the shot gun.

Nice motor Boss. You'll have to promise though, NEVER EVER take it into Lingham lake, that lake is bad on lower units and props. Cheers, Ron...

Wow, I feel for you and your brother. Like you, I soon discovered no fish is worth our life. I have taken more than my fair share of stupid stunts. The phrase comes to mind "It'll never happen to me". Last year, i opted to stay on an island overnight instead of doing the stupid stunt of driving my boat in gale force winds. the good news is, we are still here to talk about it. The year before, I thought we were done for out in the middle of the lake. I still have 2 stress cracks above the water line in my boat as a reminder Glad things worked out OK for you. I think you owe your brother an apology, as did i with my good fishing buddy. Cheers, Ron...

Okay, what the heck is this noise in my backyard? NF!!

Welcome to the American Toad! Cheers, Ron... Call: The call is a monotone trill up to 30 seconds long, preceded by a single, slightly lower introductory note. In a breeding chorus each male selects a different note to call on. http://www.naturewatch.ca/english/frogwatch/species_details.asp?species=0 -
Nice Vid Mike. Hope I can get some under water footage for ya with my new Aqua view.
