  2. Very nice Edwin! Truly another piece of functional art. Pairing your skilled craft with Spiels fine workmanship would certainly be the envy of any angler on any of the tribs! Cheers, Ron...
  3. Welcome to OFC Ryan and Ashley. There are a few to watch out for around here, apparently, I am one of them! Cheers, Ron...
  4. Atta boy Rich! So much for the WGSF now.....
  5. I fully understand Mike. One of the best rods I own in my opinion. Paired up with the CI4 there is no weight at all. I'll be doubling up a few of em for next year. Now if only they would come out with a 13-15 footer....... Cheers, Ron...
  6. Right on, Trips like that are most enjoyable, especially with your kids. Water looks a little on the chilly side. (re ice along side the canoe in the one pic). Cheers, Ron...
  7. Same as Lew, I use yami filters and yami lube. So what, it might cost say even 30.00 more. Money well spent in my opinion.
  8. Some nice hauls from MY lake! Bigger question is... Just how many NRX rods do you own??? hahaha Cheers, Ron...
  9. Easy way to fix that Jose, cancel the plans with your wife. Nice offer Mike, unfortunately I have plans for up north.
  10. My float reels are always spinning. They never have time to sit still on a shelf! I tell the wife I have to go out all the time so the reels dont' seize up.
  11. Just like my wife says..... SIZE MATERS. I find size and presentation to be more important than anything else. Color is the least of my worries.
  12. Yeah, I imagine at the Parker residence, Dana is going to have to get a contractor in to widen all the doors. Mike is gonna have a hard time gettin his head through em, it'll be so swelled! ha ha ha Hey Mike, Just don't forget us minor guys when you hit the majors! Seriously, well deserved bud, well deserved. Cheers, Ron...
  13. So sorry to hear of this Rob. Sincere condolences to all of the Blowes family.
  14. Looks like you and Mike had a stellar trip as well that week. Great camera man, those photos are so crisp and clear compared to my pictures. Cheers, Ron...
  15. Just caught this. A very well known writer, Gord Pyzer has recently submitted an article on NPS Gotta hand it to ya Mike, you have an awesome fish catching lure bro. http://nationalprostaff.com/report/7612/How+to+Pattern+Giant+Ontario+Muskies Cheers, Ron...
  16. Glad to hear things are on the up n up for you now. That is a lot of change in ones life. Like you said though, there are numerous stocked lakes in that area, I doubt a person could fish em all in a life time. You think those rainbows fight hard now.... go back there and target them through the ice!
  17. You definitely have a touch with words. keep it up along with your fishing excursions and one day I will be reading about your fishing trips in a magazine. Enjoyed the read and nice to see you got 2 more off your bucket list. Cheers, Ron..
  18. Nice tour of your roads and trek out to your fishing hole.
  19. Nice pig of a sturgeon! i am surprised on how dark it is, I always assumed they were more of a silver/grey color. I have never caught, let alone see a live one in person. The mooskies starting to put the feed bags on now too?
  20. Just thought I'd bump this up. I forgot to for the first meeting. For anyone who fishes from shore on a stream or river, it would be of great benefit to attend these meetings. Only anglers can show support for anglers. There have been several individual people who have fought to protect our rights as anglers yet very few ever attend these meetings to show support. Let the cities know that "YES THERE IS URBAN FISHING OPPORTUNITIES"! Even if you don't fish from shore, come and support your fellow anglers. One day it will be all taken away if we don't stand together.
  21. Thanks for the replies and comments everyone. I am at the stage of my life where the kids have all "growed" up now. No grand kids, only our youngest daughter's lizard to take care of. Some how she forgot to pack that up when she moved out. My wife is and always has been a "home body", she would much rather do her quilting and read her murder mystery books than to go somewhere. So this leaves time for me to get out as often as I can. There's a neighborhood joke going around, something like "It's awe full nice of you to move the boat so your wife can cut the grass under it". A change in my business has taken away some fishing opportunities, but in the same token, has encouraged me to take more than just 2 weeks holidays a year. I'm glad I did!
  22. Can't help you out bud. Just wanted to bump it forward for ya. Cheers, Ron...
