Parts for oil bath hubs are harder to find locally here. Regular grease hubs no problem. I gave up looking and ordered the correct parts online from ez-loader.com. I remember using my trailer serial/model # to get the right size seals and races.

I agree with massassauga PP. The launch in Blackstone harbour is nice and I think you can get a day use pass. It's been a while since I've been. Beautiful scenery, not many cottages.

Not wanting to flog a dead horse here - but I unplug mine because I have kids around and don't want them accidentally turning on the motor. Even when done charging it's unplugged till I'm on the water. With me it's just a safety thing. Hell, I might even hit the pedal myself when it's in the garage! I do the same with my riggers, unplug them when on land. I learned that one the hard way. Don't ask.

Yes, you can wire it direct to the battery, but like someone already mentioned, disconnect the motor from the batt when charging.
