  1. Agree about the flies, nasty little buggers! Too hot to cover up - 'deep woods off' works. They dont like it.
  2. Never had any issue with 120 lb tongue weight on my hitch. Been towing that way for 10 years.
  3. I moved the boat ahead a bit on the trailer to make the overall length shorter. The bunks are now flush with the transom and I have about 120 lbs of tongue weight. Now with the swing away and the motor down and turned I have about 4" to spare at each end with the door closed. Garage is 19' 6". Boat is 17' deep V.
  4. Why didn't I think of that?? Using deer as a topwater bait for Musky. Seriously though, great video.
  5. The government has made it impossible for working parents to afford more than 1 maybe 2 kids. Oh, and yes, I'm guessing again. No, wait... I'm living it!
  6. I'm just saying that I think most immigrants that come to Canada come from poorer countries. The ones that I've met and work with do.
  7. I don't understand this comment at all. A country with higher standards of living would have a higher level of education.
  8. None of the people (agency temps) I work with come from countries with higher standards of living. I would guess that most new immigrants don't.
  9. To what spincast said; I work with new Canadians every day (my company uses a temp agency). To be a doctor in some countries does not require the same amount of education and training as it does here in Canada. I would not want any of these "doctors" to treat me. Same goes with other professional occupations.
  10. Those pro v's from the 90's were really built to last. They will take a real pounding with ease. Take good care of it and it may outlive you!
  11. You are most likely lacking vitamins. Try some whole food supplements, you can get them at places like natures emporium. They will be $$$. Don't waste your time with common drug store vitamins (synthetic) they do nothing. Drinking lots of fluids helped me as well, but since I've been on the quality supplements the cramps have gone. Also helped with other issues. Pm me if you like and I'll be more specific about the brand.
  12. Fisher, I see your point. Some companies will bend over backwards to keep customers happy. Even for a inexpensive replacement part. Those are the ones to stay loyal to. At least you can get parts easily from a local dealer for Scotty. I own 4 Walker riggers. Try getting customer service and spare parts for those now. Too bad, because I really like using them. Their service used to be outstanding. Now I'm really thinking about switching to Cannon riggers but I know I won't get back what I paid for the Walkers.
  13. What type of fishing do you plan to do?
  14. Consoles are nice for trolling/downrigging. I'd hate to try downrigging for salmon with a tiller. But if your only into casting, tillers give you the most space. I've seen consoles on 14's, if your not a big guy, it could work.
  15. Did you spray out the underside of the mower with the garden hose before you stored it for the winter? I did that once and a bit of rust got in the bearing making it hard to turn over. A blast of WD-40 cured the problem. Like others have said, pull the spark plug wire before looking underneath.
  16. I think it's a rock wall there around the ramp. Nowhere to beach the boat.
  17. If it was a truck full of carrots would they want the same memorial?
  18. Not the article I was looking for but an interesting read. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/industry-news/energy-and-resources/gasoline-suppliers-overcomplying-with-ethanol-content-rules/article4197860/
  19. How do you check if there is ethanol in the gas? I'm not saying there is, just curious as to how you know for sure? I read an article a couple years back where random gas stations were tested for ethanol content. The 10% ethanol gas sometimes had up to 15 to 25%. I'll try to find the story and post a link.
  20. I use Marine Stabil for the whole boating season on every fill-up. No ethanol related problems so far.
  21. I don't think anyone sells completely ethanol free gas anymore. They may say they do, but I don't believe it.
