  1. Hey, not bad at all. Second one is best imo
  2. I've been drinking Granville Island Winter Ale... it's a hearty beer with lots of flavour, and seems fitting for the season. Tradition at the Caster house is hot apple cider with cinnamon sticks
  3. Some of the outfitters are predicting that ice will be good for Jan 1st. Weather forecast seems to concur with them.
  4. Maybe a fluted type or a french blade. Or if you go with a colorado or indian style, try to get a heavier gauge metal; it'll add weight for the drop, but keep the resistance.
  5. Nice pick! One of my favorite REM songs. I used to put that song on repeat when I was 15 or 16. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SDyB2TrWl4 Best band going!; with lots of material to listen to.
  6. The north bay yokels would prefer parking for free on the ice anyway haha. Would that even be an option for Simcoe?
  7. Sweet. What kind of beer do you have on tap? haha
  8. Sweet, sounds like there is some interest. Hopefully Alex logs back in soon haha. Its probably best for the simcoe-local-yokels to figure out where to go/park/fish
  9. Any interest in still setting this up Alex? Will Simcoe even get safe ice this year?
  10. You got that right. I have many brookie spots in mind. You know it Rick! Someday I'll take you up on that offer. Hahahaha. Does that mean I would have to listen to Skrillex too? Once Nip locks up, we'll be hooking up more often for sure. hahaha. ..that means I must have captured the moment! I had to remind her that canoes float. Yes, that was a great meeting. I'm glad I took a lot of photos. Thanks for all comments!
  11. If this is all true, I've completely wasted my last day... At least I got my year-end post in! Haha.
  12. Nip is #1 on my list, I love fishing that big 'ol gal. Also I have a bunch of small lakes I'd like to ice fish in my area. I'm still looking for my first big laker so that's also on my list. Last but not least, fish Simcoe with some members here
  13. Hmm, sounds like it might be one size too large for me. I'm 160 and don't want it bulky at all. Sounds like a good deal though
