  1. The one day I don't join u.... Hopefully the lake I try thursday has the same quality of fishing
  2. Creating and sending a PM on my BB was brutal. The dialogue box was offset to the left, items were overlayed and squished together. I couldn't see the "send" button; had to preview then send
  3. As if a cop (anyone for that matter) tried to kick you guys off the ice, as HE walks out onto it to tell you its not safe. Good thing your a nice guy Jeremy!
  4. Also, on the mobie interface, it used to automatically bring me to the last unread post. Not happening right now.
  5. Print is way too small on my blackberry torch and the page does not fit as nicely on my screen.. OFC used to have the easiest mobile site to read/use.. Not as nice right now. Also, I see a lot of red X's and items that seem misplaced (stacked and taking a lot spaces instead of tabled or side-by-side) Finally the typing delays are gone however!!! Very happy about that.

  7. Good find!
  8. Perfect, I'm looking for somebody to pull my gear You recognize that trail? that's incredible! haha.
  9. That's great Mike. I'm sure I'm not the only one here who had a "feeling" something like this would happen.
  10. That's great that you got to share with your Grandfather! Forgot to mention I released that big fish. Only kept one today. Couple more vids of today. Not sure why I couldn't post these in addition to the other one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9owbPPVXhwo&feature=youtu.be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWUkKQUEPcc&feature=youtu.be
  11. Jan 5 - Jeremy84 wakes up at 2am to drive 4hrs and picks up Joey in Callander. They head north, meet me, and off we go further north to a new-to-us lake, with no road access. This was a generally shallow lake and our targets were big pike and lots of walleye. Well....neither of those two plans really panned out. We got one decent pike and five walleye. The slush got the better of us and I'm sure the other guys were just as beat as I was the next day. Here is a short videos of the trek. Here are a couple photos of the walleye-cleaning. Walleye wings anyone? mmmmm Jan 6 - Tired! The wife also had the day off so we walked out to a nearby lake and fished for the evening. She got her PB winter walleye and I missed a big girl at the hole. Pretty slow overall but fun explaining to the wife that having slightly cold feet and nose are just a part of the game haha. Jan 7 - Wake up at 4:30 for some *%^&$% reason. Leave home at 6 and fishing on a back-lake by 730. I've never fished this lake in winter; I have no topo maps and no electronics, so it's a drill, walk, drag and jig process, repeat many times. Eventually I chart out a pile of boulders with nearby 20 ft of water. I set up on the deep side and BAM, a 21 or 22" walleye! Overall, the fishing slower than expected, but productive enough. The winds really picked up at around 1pm and coincidentally, the fish stopped biting. I learned a few things about each of these lakes and this knowledge will surely help me in future endeavours. Great fishing with you again Jeremy!
  12. Noice!
  13. Fantastic! Funny enough, I had this site saved to favorites, but never checked it for unnamed lakes. Thanks!!
  14. Nice turn of fortunes. I bet you were worried for a couple days there! 24" is a good PB for a young man!
  15. Fantastic! Nice mixed bag o' fish
  16. Thanks 4x4. I'm looking at the online reg summary, maybe the booklet has GPS?
  17. I video taped in morning, then kind of gave up. haha, no fish pics either.

  18. Some lakes (very few in Zone 11) have utm but in most cases only have township ID. I have a OGS Google Earth map for township boundaries, but up here, a single township can have several unnamed brookie lakes.
  19. Just wondering if anyone knows of any online resources for identifying unnamed lakes? There are several year-round brookie lakes in the MNR Regs, that are called Lake 123 for example and I can't seem to pinpoint the lake any more than within township borders.
  20. That sucks about the lost tip up and phone (Im kind of laughing though). Lots of people losing tip ups this year haha. That's a sweet walleye. I really wish we had clear black ice like that, but, then again, we have like 6-12 inches, so I can't really complain. Anyway, great report. I'm gonna get in touch with you soon for a Nip trip in february.
  21. That's a good fish/time ratio.
  22. They are getting bigger and BIGGER
  23. very nice! No crappie for me, only walleye.
  24. You got a nice setup there Dave. Next up: lakers?
  25. sounds like a good trip Tapout. Your thread title kind of scared me at first though I like sight fishing as well. Doesn't work very well on most of lakes I fish, since visibility is so limited.
