  1. An environmental lawyer could make big money in Canada by taking on and or chasing cases like this. "Billionaire, you say "
  2. I also purchase bulk 8x3 ziplocks from luremaking com (canadian) and put my spinners back in a bag everytime. If the bag breaks, just replace with another 5 cent bag
  3. keep in mind he might be carrying a hand gun As long as he's got the permits, he can carry it with him while he's prospecting. I'd take the $700...just make sure you clearly lay out the rules for him before he uses your property. I'd also document the basics just in case.
  4. "Corrine Nelson, acting district manager for North Bay working out of Kirkland Lake, told The Nugget late Wednesday a review of fisheries data from 1998 to 2011 is underway and will be made public when completed." Out of Kirkland? Acting manager? The MNR is decimated, they can barely keep up with their current basic duties and in the new budget, The Feds loaded most of their environmental work onto the Provinces lap, in places where they could. Everyone is looking at the MNR to do things, because they hold most the decision making power, yet they can't even excercise their power because they don't have the resources for up to date studies and management. I'm fine with having the Natives more involved in the Nipissing fishery...let them contribute to regulatory enforcement and lake management in places where the MNR can't handle it... although I have no idea if they have the resources/funds/support/will to do this. A live bait ban would hurt local bait shops...although they seem to be bracing themselves for this already.
  5. When they are young and white, you can slice them up and cook them on the bbq, or eat them raw in salads, or pan fried etc etc. I liked the flavor, but didn't love it. Don't eat them if they are starting to rot or go brown.
  6. Found some massive puffballs near Barrie (Egbert) around the month of june. I'm talking watermelon size... Looked like an alien ship in a field. Sure made for nice steaks!
  7. crosby with another 3 points tonight. That guy is incredible at what he does. He's well above Malkin in Points Per Game.
  8. somehow, Scrivens still looked better than the other tandem of goalies.
  9. that's what I looked like at breakfast mmmmm. Smelts+butter+pepper!
  10. You should have hoarded gas in December 2008, much better deal.
  11. lucky bugger. If you were thinking about freezing some, don't bother ... from my experience they don't keep well at all. They just turn to a dark-green/brownish mush.
  12. Watching my Cummingnerd Sonar equipped with Navigational "chips and salsa," I raced safely to my first stop. Upon arrival, gripping my 6 1/2 foot U-L Palarus Shizmano spinning rod, equipped with an old but still awesome and rainbow shiney Quangum PT reel spooled up with the ever strong and faithful 8-pound WowerPRO line which is secured with some Berkwerkely Trizlene XT backing, I laid out a cast pretty much the same way I would had all these products been under any different name. But of course, first toss actually put a fish into my Fabbrill mesh net. It's how I roll... It's just impossible to label pure awesome! "Impossible to label pure awesome".... Well done sir, you sure led us into that one!
  13. I muted the simpsons to watch this! That's a big deal The lateral currents coming from the equator seem to be the most powerful.
  14. Picked lots of fiddle heads near your area a couple years ago... Some real nice ones by the river. Once the frost is completely gone, they'll sprout like weeds. I used to get some real nice blackberries out that way too, albeit in late summer. Can't wait for the f-heads to sprout up here! Smelt and greens go well together.
  15. Done. I've lived in Coburg for 0-5 years
  16. Good stuff. Thanks for sharing
  17. Atlantic Canada imports it's oil from the middle east ...maybe we should try to supply ourselves first, instead of making threats to canadians, which subsequently raises the gas prices until the Canadian people are in favor of anything that brings the gas prices back to earth.
  18. Yup, those people are nuts...I almost died several times due to cowboys on hwy 63, the hwy to hell. Most of those guys could just run you over if you drive slow...10foot lift, 100,000 dollar truck. Easily the worst hwy I've ever driven. BTW, that video was brutal to watch. I could only watch it once.
  19. Holy crap! Nature is #1 entertainment
  20. really enjoying this one...nice local touch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slqVU5tfr_c&feature=related
  21. Beauty!!! I wish you were on team 2 as well.
  22. Good to know that they aren't an automatic death sentence... I somewhat thought this too and really scared myself a few times, not falling in, but feeling like I was losing control in a fast river. I thought for sure I'd be a gonner... And a lot of people told me its SUPER dangerous. Agreed with those that said first hand experience (contolled environment) would be the best way to avoid panic in a real life situation.
  23. Imagine rock95 said "its your last chance to ice fish"? They'd get in big doo doo
