what song are you listening to right now???
Rod Caster replied to fishing n autograph's topic in Non-Outdoors Open Discussion
That was good! Sounds to me like a mix of early Modest Mouse and some Matthew Good singing. -
Within the next two weeks I'm bringing my 14ft Sportspal to BWmarine in North Bay for some upgrades: A few patches, permanent seats, a yoke, new foam. So far my impression of the crew at BW is great. Very accomodating and willing to take on any challenge...with confidence! Looking through their website, I see a sail option for this canoe...intriguing http://www.bwmarineproducts.com/sail_kit.htm Has anyone tried this with their sportspal? In some situations this would be an easy way to cross a couple lakes...in other situations it might be a pain in the butt and cumbersome... if it's just used for leisure, it could be a fun thing to do with the gf! Any thought?

don't be so sure about that. Money, soap, oxycodin's, lumber... whatever is "free" people will take. I've seen it. -

Petition Against Weakening The Fisheries Act.
Rod Caster replied to Moosebunk's topic in General Discussion
Thanks. They could have changed the regulations fairly by 10 or 20% but to go this far... yikes. Friendly emails also sent to MP's as well. -
Being up north only means people shoot anyway haha. You should see the area Timmins covers. 2961 square kms ... biggest "city by area" in Canada. Sudbury ain't small either.
-
Funny you say that! Blair called the police to see if he was allowed to bring his grouse-gun with him in that area... as it turned out, it was within city limits so it was a no-go.

I've caught many river bass in less than 2 fow at night... they would come right up the rocks and you could here them splashing. They'd hit anything. Great fun!

Quantum Re-Ax combo on sale at Can. Tire

Did they have the fenwicks on sale? That's what I'm waiting for -
When I camp on the ottawa river, we only catch catfish at night. They start at night and end by morning light. We keep it very simple with hooks and big stinky baits. I've caught cats during the day, but the action is not even comparable.

no kidding eh? ... actually, I'm already way ahead of you I have to wait another two years until the closest Aurora lake is open again. Nice catch and video, CL

Like a dog with a bone! Thanks for helping me find that trail... I've been looking for it for some time now. I was just about ready to take the long way in. Luckily those property owners are friendly.... I think they appreciated both the fish and the fact that we asked them permission. Can't wait for the smelt run!!!!

Not good. We'll all be saying the american oath very soon if this crap keeps happening. If anyone actually thinks the CBC is biased, then you have just given away your own bias.

worst poll ever haha. It's too bad about the Jets..they had a chance, but it slipped away. I'll be cheering for Phoenix if they make it...then it's any Canadian team. I wouldn't mind seeing the Blues make a serious run for the cup either

Couples Resorts? Bancroft to North Bay
Rod Caster replied to Rod Caster's topic in General Discussion
Thanks Edwin Nice looking place and the price is inline with the others of that caliber. Thanks for the idea. And they have pigs haha, cool Nice looking lodges...I'd love to vacation out that way, maybe for the second half of our honeymoon. The first half is gonna be a "pamper and spa" type thing. As per her request. The spa sounds good but I'm not looking forward to them putting diapers on me... -
Is that the last of the butterfly smelt from 2011? I'm super stoked for smeltin'. Time to buy three of those disposable nets.

every web page is identifed alphanumerically and IP's are unique. It can't be that hard to identify who is a scammer if someone hits the "report" button, which is on every initial email. Either people don't use the report button often enough, or kijiji doesn't take the effort (don't want to spend the $), or scammers are one step ahead of kijiji's "scam filtering" system.

Sold out for 2012! Must be a nice place. -
Lots of relevant info is associated to your IP, isn't it? When I load a page, my IP is recorded in their database. If someone reports a scam at the exact time I hit the reply button, then I'm sure they could compile information from the real stupid scammers who don't use high tech avoidance measures. I'm assuming most of these scammers are not very intelligent... or maybe they are and therefore we can't trust any computer geeks!! Maybe I'm way off? haha. Bill?

Definitly user beware. I'm no compu-wiz, maybe it wouldnt be a free service if Kijiji had to do all that information gathering and processing.
