Mike...i have had 'friends' like this guy too. I have been promised money before only not to see it materialise....i no longer fish with these people and have lost 2 friends. I understand the point some people have made about not asking or even expecting money if you are already going...but when i hear about how good life on pogie is all winter i think...yeah...its friggin great as long as you have someone like me to ferry yur arse on and off lakes with my snowmachine, my gas, my truck, my bait, my portable shelter, my fishfinder....sometimes even my friggin sandwiches and smokes! MOOCHERS NOT WELCOME! Give the moochin' dood back his rod and be done with him, but ignore his calls for a month before you give it back

I have had the 10lb stuff on my new rod and reel this year. Its hard to tell given the lack of severe conditions here so far and the relatively limited time i've spent on the ice, not to mention that i have skunked 4 times now out of probably 10 'serious' fishing expeditions! I have been using my regular braid knot...i think its a palomar...holds fine...no break offs. Its hard to tell if it has the same sensitivity and bite transmission capabilities of regular ice braid....because i aint had that many bites to judge by....YET! Hopefully on Monday we connect with some whities and i'll be able to tell ya what i think. So far i agree with Manitou...it does not seem to ice up as much as the braid...i like that a lot. I have not had the 'coiling' problem so far though. All in all i'm liking it so far, although i've yet to feel like i have given it a proper workout. I'd say the major dowwnside to it so far have been that I have noticed that it frays easily and of course THE PRICE...way to much money for 150yrds at $20.

Sorry Joey...my wife's comment was not intended to be disrespectful to Ralphie...quite the opposite...she thinks he's adorable....i do too....and yeah....they do get bigger, our neighbours dog Donut is proof....lol. LOL...i wanna change his name to 'Batsh!t'....that's exactrly how Roloff is....OMG...6 years to go Awesome pup Raf...i've not seen many black cocker spaniels before...in England there were lots of golden ones. LOL...our dog is velcro too....he is just tapping at your ankles all day...drives me nuts! THAT'S IT!....i was trying to think what his ears were reminding me of....you hit the nail on tyhe head....'bright light....bright light' Our pup also goes to stay at my wife's uncles house. They have 2 dogs of their own and also look after the neighbours dogs....Roloff comes home in a coma after playing there all day...the only time he is not stuck to my ankles....lol. Thanks Skeets.....poor pup might be getting some dog boots soon.....he lasts about 3 minutes outside before he lets us know his feet are cold.....mind you its minus 35 C here the last few days.
