  1. Yes insurance is required while operating an ATV on the ice. Minimum requirement is liability. Yes a CO can issue a fine for not having liabilty insurance. I know this for a fact. I was fined $145.00 for not having insurance by a CO three years ago. Now I have smaretened up a bit, carry full insurance, liabilty, fire, theft, collison. Fine was $145.00, Full insurance for a full year - $360.00.
  2. Lew I did a similar job with beams in the ceiling of my family room. Used a torch to etch burn marks on the surface of the wood. Applied a clear varnish to seal the wood. Looked pretty good. Would show u pix, but, I sold that house.
  3. Nice pix, thanks for sharing. I see lottsa happy campers!!
  4. I have a 2012 Polaris 500, which has been good. Just learned recently to ensure your battery is ALWAYS fully charged. I am an older, gentle rider so didn't see the need for a bigger, more expensive machine. I use it mostly for ice fishing just to get on & off the ice. So big power wasn't necessary for snow plowing, hauling heavy loads or mud bogging. Boils down to, what do you intend to use the bike for??
  5. Good idea for mounting your gear. I have an ice 55, fish all day with 1 battery & lots of power left at the end of the day.
  6. Thanx for the report. Sounds like U had a good day. Congrats

  12. Kawartha prop repair will test your boat with different pitch props so you will get the optimum performance. I believe they charged me $150.00 for this service. They are located in Buckhorn. Give them a call. Hope this helps.
  13. Insane weather here in Niagara. Plus 2C, winds at 50 km gusting to 90!! Good thing it's too mild for snow!

  16. I'm searching as well. Lots on Kijiji St. Catharines. Priced from $200.00 - $900.00 Good luck in your search! Get something decent for $400.00 if you want to do a few minor repairs, such as paint.
  17. Nice pix Chad. Funny video. Thanx U guys up north have it made. We're still waiting for ice! 16 C in Niagara yesterday! Keep sending reports I love 'em!!
  18. Ramakkos is great. I purchased my bowmount troller there & my new humminbird ice 55. Get to know those guys they will point u in the right direction. Just a hint, u gotta go a little north of Sudbury for really good fishing. I never bothered with Ramsey, its right in the city, too close to home, lottsa pressure. 1 hour north is top notch fishing!
  19. Good stuff Nick! Thanx for the pix.
  20. I wish the world junior championship was a year round tourney. Those young guys played their hearts out! I don't enjoy watching multi millionaires playing half heartedly.
  21. Chartreuse anything! My go to colour is always chartreuse. 1/8 oz jigs or buckshots for perch. Lakers, whities I used Williams in a variety of silver, gold, hammered, half n half. Different colours for different light conditions. If I'm jigging walleye on Nip its a 1/4 oz chartreuse jig tipped with a full minnow. Lake Erie the perch like my offering of chartreuse 1/4 oz jigs tipped with a minnow.
