  5. Good for him! I was also pleased to see him entertaining people in the hospital. Thanx
  6. Thanx for your replies. Ronda did reply the next day to say sorry we're all booked. I'm OK with that. I ended up booking at 3 bears which is good cause they have indoor facilities for wifey. They sound like very nice people. I'm looking forward to this adventure. I've fished the area a little south of Shining Tree for 6 years, just decided to try right in Shining Tree. We're going Sept 14 - let you know how we do.
  7. You are so lucky! Very interesting to read.
  8. I've been looking at their web site thinking of a trip in mid September. It's boat access only which is fine, outdoor toilet facilities. Want to take wifey & dog. We are in our 60s but quite adventurous. Anybody been there? I emailed them 2 days ago, no reply. I just phoned them 5 minutes ago, got voice mail. Please commet.
  9. Forget your mechanical issues - she' a beautiful baby. Congratulations Ok now to your mechanical problems. I'm like you - love to read & be educated on the mechanical issues. I always try to use shell premium gas due to no ethanol. If I have old gas I use it in my van, & always make sure I have fresh premium gas for my outdoor adventures. Did I mention Kiera is beautiful??
  10. Nice crappie. Congratulations on your finish during the tourney.
  11. Trolling Erie for walleye always produces sheephead. Use large worm harnesses. They are a nuisance to us walleye guys. 3 weeks ago I caught a 20 lb sheephead!
  12. My experience on Erie is 70 - 80 fow of water, slow troll & yes 7,8,9 lbs are regular catches. 2 & 3 lbs are rare.
  13. Thanx for your advice Terry. I thought Can Am was the way to go. I was thinking of selling my Polaris & getting a Can Am. Now gonna just keep my Popo.
  14. Randy, U were at the beer store - surprises me!! I'm back down south, wish I was still in Sudbury. The outdoors entertainment up there is awesome! Lew must have been chasing Muskies!!
  15. I always thought Can am was the best. Now u professionals are talking Yami. I'm confoozed. Please explain why Yami is better. I presently own a 2012 Polaris 500 HO which is used primarily for ice fishing. I'm a gentle older rider, got 38 hours on it . No issues
  16. Welcome to the board. You'll have lottsa fun here. I troll Erie alot but using only harnesses & bottom bouncers. Never had much luck with stick baits. We use a 5 gallon pail or sometimes 2 to slow down the boat. We are trolling at 1.5 - 2 mph. Good luck!
  17. Lund is an excellent boat. I bought my first Lund last June - love it!
  18. Yup, count me in. Great idea! Along with reviews of the property, cabin, or camp also a fishing report.
  19. Nice fish Lew? In the last pic - who won the fight?
