  1. Hey Tom, I've been there! Water supplies, drain, trap, the whole nine yards! Not being a smart ass, if 1973 original, probably a bathroom reno is the way to go. All depends on budget. If bath renovation is going to cut into fishing gear budget - I'd wash my hands in a 5 gallon pail! LOL!
  2. Good luck Cliff, I'm sure some of our younger members will step up & help out. I'm a 3 hour drive to Lindsay area.
  3. Wetskins at CTC are good quality & in your budget. Bright yellow color available for safety reasons.
  4. If it's a small bathroom vanity it would be rather inexpensive to buy a new countertop. Remove your taps, unscrew the old vanity top from inside the cabinet. Pretty simple job if you are handy with some basic carpentry tools.
  5. Yup X a whole bunch - FRESH GAS!! I only use Shell V power in my outdoor toys. V power contains no ethanol which damages a lot of out board motors.
  6. Thanx for the info Craig. All good points to look at in my search. Bolt through cleats simple, but a very important feature. Nice also to know it's a family run business.
  7. Awesome story Mr. Bunk! Thanx! Your pix are incredible!
  8. You guys are too funny! He would have to add 1 or 2 sections to his present dock ???
  9. Thanx hirk. I'm leaning towards a closed deck with a small cuddy just to have extra storage space for jackets, rain suits, even a porta potti . PM me the info on the Islander please. There's a 22' Offshore for sale but up in Earlton which is an 8 hour drive for me.
  10. Quit whining! LOL! Gonna be 28C soon, then it's too hot! But never too hot to fish! LOL!
  11. I'm looking for a big water boat for Erie. I love the StarCraft. I viewed 1 in Chatham, a 1989 offshore 22' for $10,000., I should have jumped on it, but didn't. If you know of one for sale in very good condition, please PM me. Thanx
  12. Check your prices carefully. I have an F 150, King Ranch, with back up camera. Dealer price for a new back up sensor is $190.00 each. Ebay 4 of them delivered to my door $27.00!!!!
  13. I love the 2nd pic! Beautiful dog.
  14. A very sad story. My condolences to the families.
  15. I bought my first set of winter tires (Hankooks) in early December, just switched over to my all season tires last Wednesday. Woke up today to 4" of new snow. Doesn't matter, I don't plan on going out today. It's all gonna melt on Wednesday +6 C.
  16. Yup a place for everything! With the not so nice fishing weather I spent a full day & 1/2 organizing my gear. I have a rather large cupboard for all my trays, extra reels, line, insect repellant, fish scent etc. If I hadn't used it in 3 or 4 years that stuff goes into a clear plastic tote, then up into my loft. Then I reorganized all my trays (about 20). Rapala stick baits in 1, mepps spinners in another, Williams wablers in one, Live Target in one & so on. 6 rods in a rack mounted in the ceiling, 8 other rods in another ceiling rack. I own 14 rods & refuse to purchase more. I don't care about the wonderful new rods they have out to lure in fisherman. What am I gonna do? - leave my old favourites at home?? Nope! I have 3 older favourite rods that go in the boat at all times. 1 is about 35 years old, a 6' Browning paired with a Cardinal 3 - has caught everything from perch, bass, pike, a 7 lb walleye & a 48" Musky. It goes in the boat & I use it on a regular basis. Then I got to the shelf which stores my fishing lines. 22 spools from 2 lb - 30 lb braid. Found some older ones dating back to 2007. I filed them in the recycle bin. I'm not opposed to keeping line dated 3 or 4 years ago as long as it was store in a cool dark place such as my tackle cupboard. After organizing my tackle, I started checking my outdoor clothing. I tucked away my snowmobile boots, checked jackets & rain gear for wear & tear. This closet is 12' long. Last inventory, I have 31 jackets, hoodies, winter parkas, floater suit etc. Not buying any more! We presently have 4" of new snow so I've been pulling down 1 rod at a time - cleaning, lube reels, checking line.
  17. I flap, you flap, we all flap about fishing of course. It was definitely a good show. FF don't tell any one about my LIve Targets catching all the fish!! I'll be visiting Bigugly soon to get some of his crappie jigs. Johnny D was probably napping!
  18. I've been following your cabin build. A guy with your talent - wouldn't take much to build a floor standing rack to display those lovely rods. Giver!
  19. It was good meeting you again Bruce. Show was awesome. I meant to purchase some of your crappie jigs, but too tired to concentrate. PM me I'd like to stop by & pick some up.
  20. I installed the marinco plug & receptacle with 6 gage wire to the battery. No issues. I like the twist lock feature. It will vibrate loose on a rough day but not a big issue for me.
  21. Big ugly also had some smoking deals on crappie jigs. He ties some awesome looking buck tails! I'm kicking myself for not buying a few! Dam I was tired of walking by the time I found his table. Bruce - if you are reading this I'd like to stop by & pick some up.
