~~~I was shocked to see you did not have him a Phishen Safety harness to the Rod,and him, to help him land those Jumbo Perch
-
~~~I always have trouble holding the Worm still while trying to get the Harness onand the buckles are almost impossible with my big fingers. Does anyone know where you can get worms with the Harnesses already attached, it would a hell of a lot simpler. OH well back to my Jack Daniels, care on

~~~Paul and I headed out on Sunday again, WD was to join us but slept in, ( still in bed when I call from the Glades) Our Southern Cousins, were up, but was surprised on many were not out. Most likely the phish limit is the reason not as many were up, as in the past, saw only about 20 boats out there. Well we headed out to an area that was well inside the pack, and did quite well, then they turned off, so we motored around checking different spots. We hit the mid lake Shoal, and set up the drifts socks, and Paul caught his Fall Smallie all of 2oz. which he released, kept getting some very light hit and he was able to rid the lake of three Gobbies. My camera wasn't working so I drew a picture of them, As we drifted down on the pack, we found the Perch, about 1/4 mile away from the pack Well we stayed out there the rest of the day, enjoying the Sun and the just being out there, even with the wind blowing from one direction, and the waves coming from another, my back will never be the same, until the next trip. We only kept a few, for a meal. Hopefully I'll remember the Batteries next time, ran out of Crayons _________________ ~~~~~OOPS sorry were you down wind of me
~~~Oh yeah It was cold too, Late start on Sunday 09:00 before we got at the ramp, Paul and I headed out to the Perchen grounds, so with wind out of the North we took it slow, got to about 32' and started marking phish on the bottom, Paul was up first with beauty and soon after followed by a very hungry Kitty On a small pink, and white grub I was able to put this one in the well, We moved around a bit stopped at a Black X that A Buddy had left last week, and did very well there We ended taking about 10 each home for the day, saw quite a few trailer there but very few boats on the water, our cousins from across the pond are up in force, camping at the Glades, and with the weather improving for next weekend it's going to be very busy out there.

~~~And another helpless victim bites the dust
~~~Been looken for another phishen partner, in my area to go phishen with, since both Walleyedreamer, and slug are, busy now most weekends, I was contacted by a guy from Whitby, named Paul who wanted to get out. So we met at my place at 7, and hooked up and headed to the Glade to meet up with Slug. Got the boat in the water to find that someone had left the light switch on and drained the battery. Was able to borrow a Portable booster from another phisherman, and got the motor started, headed out, only to find I had no tilt or Bilge pump, so had to return to the marina, to see if I could buy a battery, and even though they were not open $120 later we were heading back out. Started marking phish in 28' of water and got set up. and for those that don't know what a Perch looks like or have forgotten Both Slug, and Paul got into some nice Jumbos Paul trying to make this one bigger, but his arms were to short Phish seem to move on so we went out the check the pack out stopping short of them. in 32' marking massive bait clouds giving us a false bottoms reading, set up and all we got were dinks, headed back to where we were earlier and we were back into them again As we came back into the river Mr. Friendly was there doing a Boat check, I got a Gold Star for being a good boy. Got to the ramp to find some twit with a sail boat trying to get up the ramp but had to dump about a ton of water from his bilge, took him 4 runs at it, plus Slug, and Paul pushing to get up the ramp, then the twit decided to drive down the road, with his mast still up, and hits the Hydro wires, just stopping short from ripping them down. The neighbours had a good laugh at him, and he sort of hid his head in his van for a while, most likely wondering where he was going to get a crane to lift his mast off the boat, on a Sunday. Well any way we had a great day on the water lake was calm, very little wind, and phishen with 2 buds, Caught over 300 keeping 30 I'll be out there next weekend again, love this time of the year.

~~~One of the best bud I've known and will be sadly missed.
~~~Hooked up with MikeH on Monday, with plans to hit the Whitie Grounds, hit Sibalds to phind it almost full at the ramp. By 08:30 we were heading out to join the Armada of boats out there, lake was calm no wind at all. Got to the grounds to see about 150 boats all over the area, from 65' to 85'. Anchour up in 77' seeing a few phish being landed, and spent the next 2.5hr.s watching other guys land phish, the only hit I had was I belive was a Herring, which was a light tap while I was bring my Williams, to change over. But it was great being on the water anyways. Came back to the ramp to phind half of Toronto was there, the park was over flowing, and with my usual tack, I had my Widdle Green Machine on it's trailer and heading out the park, in less then the 10min. What all those non speaking English boat owner were saying to me I'll never know. There was one twit who was trying to launch his boat with the cover still on. _________________ ~~~~~OOPS sorry were you down wind of me

~~~~Lucky fella, very nice haul, hoping to get out this Sunday. for some Whities, Trout, and a good feed of Perch. -
~~~You gotta love Robin Williams........Even if he's nuts! Leave it to Robin Williams to come up with the perfect plan. What we need now is for our UN Ambassador to stand up and repeat this message. Robin Williams' plan...(Hard to argue with this logic!) 'I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for peace. So, here's one plan.' 1) 'The US, UK , CANADA and AUSTRALIA will apologize to the world for our 'interference' in their affairs, past & present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Tojo, Noriega, Milosevic, Hussein, and the rest of those 'good 'ole' boys', we will never 'interfere' again. 2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting withGermany, South Korea , the Middle East, and the Philippines . They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No one allowed sneaking through holes in the fence. 3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of whom or where they are from. They're illegal!!! France will welcome them. 4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit!!!! No one from a terrorist nation will be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself and don't hide here. Asylum would never be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers. 5) No foreign 'students' over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a 'D' and it's back home baby. 6) The US, UK , CANADA and AUSTRALIA will make a strong effort to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing nonpolluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while. 7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go someplace else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.) 8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not 'interfere.' They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them is stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if anything. 9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island someplace. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.. 10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us 'Ugly Americans' any longer. The Language we speak is ENGLISH...learn it...or LEAVE. Now, isn't that a winner of a plan? 'The Statue of Liberty is no longer saying 'Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses.' She's got a baseball bat and she's yelling, 'you want a piece of me?' '

~~~~OUCH~~ I'm must be one of the lucky ones, I bought my Tracker in 98, from Seaway Marina. the boat was a 97 new un-sold, and is still running. Yes I have a leak, there is a crack in the bow, started last year, where it meets the hull, and this is from rough trailering, and I have 2 pop rivets, again these I caused, because of some of the back lakes I have phished, where you beach your boat for the night. As for the motor a 40hp Tracker Force, I had to replace the lower gears, because I hit the submerge rail embankment on Rice. And last fall the Starter bushings went and needed replacing. Brand new top speed was 32mph, down to 28 now. ~~Good luck with your protest if you do, I advise against parking a BPS, you could be charged causing a distrubance on Private Property, but if you kept just driving around their store, not much they could against you. ~~~~Good luck
