  1. Bly and I are headed back here in June with the OFC gang! Gotta love a place when you get sunsets like this Lakair one from last summer. (thanks again kickingfrog...awesome picture!)
  2. Oops...Bly made me do it. She says you scare her. One of these days I'll get you to show me how to catch bass....cause I SUCK at it...LOL.
  3. LOL John....was great to finally meet you! Yep...she's hot...and she's mine...LOL. As for Nautifish...totally, completely, unfair!!! haha. Sorry bout that Natuti...but I'm terrible with faces and names on a good day! Nice to finally meet you though.
  4. Looked like a good time and a successful event! Hopefully we'll be able to make it out next year...heck, maybe my band can audition and be a bigger part of it.
  5. Great pics Brian! Looked like another good turn out!
  6. Seems bly and I just missed you at the show. We didn't show up there until about 11:30ish. Deals are starting to be a thing of the past. I've talked to some of the retailers there and by the time they pay for their booth at the show, they are lucky if they even break even on it. Too bad really.
  7. Bly and I headed to the fishing show late this morning. Lots of people, but like others have said, no real big deals to be had. Then again, most shows are like this...the good ole days of bargain hunting and deal making are getting more and more rare! Here's a few pics from this afternoon... Dave doing his thing... Pete, TJ and TJ's better half! Dave and...hey...I know that guy on the left...hadn't seen him in a while!! Good to see you bud! A few OFNers...Jeffbornfishin, TangledLines and Fishindevil. It was great to see other OFNers as well...it was great seeing/talking to you there. Members included...Ron (Muskies Canada), Ecmilley, Buster, Nautifish, John and John, JP Derose, Canadian Copper..and I'm sure I've forgotten a few...my apologies! Seems like we missed a few others who were there in the morning! We got out of there relatively unscathed in the 'purchases' department. I won a Muskies Canada shirt, and bought these flys...a bargain at just 75 cents each! Can't wait to try these out for steelhead!
  8. Wow...sorry to hear it Joey! I've had back pain like that. The pain shooting down his legs likely means pressure on his sciatic nerve. Don't mess around with this. Not everyone thinks chiropractors work, but I find it does wonders for me. Could have a misalignment of vertabrae, pinching the nerve. Some doctors will prescribe just anti inflammatories and muscle relaxants, but they just treat the symptoms...not necessarily the cause. The first few sessions I went, I thought things got worse...but after a while I realized that it really works. I've only been as bad as Paul once...but believe me, you remember it! If it's not corrected soon and there is pressure on that nerve and discs in the back that is not corrected, it could turn chronic. I've had it that bad once...didn't get treatment right away and now I'm prone to them if I don't watch it. Guys like fishindevil lives with chronic back issues...hopefully he'll see this thread and chime in.
  9. Bly and I will be there...going to book soon!
  10. Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better Cliff! Carole had this happen a few times in the past...the last time much the same as you...including an ambulance ride to the hospital... Stay rested...any work that needs to be done isn't nearly as important as you getting better.
  11. LOL Wallacio...Oh well...posted twice, maybe more will see it!!!
  12. This may help... "Question Re: Private Property I own a large parcel of land with a good sized spring-fed pond on it, the pond drains off of my land into a near-by river. I know there are fishing the pond, do I need a licence to fish in the pond and do the seasons apply on my property? Answer: Because your pond has an outflow the laws requiring a licence and the various fishing seasons would apply to your pond. The Ontario Fishery Regulations, which contain the rules for sport fishing in Ontario, apply to all water in the province with the exception of National Parks, waters that are licenced under an aquaculture licence and waters that occur on private lands that meet all of the following conditions: The waters are not on a regional flood plain, The waters lie wholly on privately owned land, The waters are not connected to natural waters, The waters contain water from run-off, springs, ground water or water pumped from a stream or lake; AND The waters have been artificially created. If the pond meets all of the list above the fish must then come from a licenced aquaculture facility or a licenced commercial fish operation; they cannot be caught by sport-fishing and transferred to the pond. 13. LOL... "Is this real life?" Classic!!!! Like other's here, when I had my 4 wisdom teeth out I did a few strange things. My brother came with me to get me home afterwards. When I came to after the surgery, I said I could walk by myself. The nurse and my brother walked ahead while she gave him instructions on home care. The got down the hall and looked around...couldn't see me. They went back to find me curled up on the floor sleeping. In the pharmacy a little while later, I was having full conversations with people. Was getting a lot of strange looks. My brother came to find me...reminded me that I had a mouth FULL of gauze and that no one could understand a word I was saying....LOL. Then I went home, fell asleep for 4 hours on the couch. Note to anyone out there...make sure you take your pain medication BEFORE you fall asleep like that cause when you wake up, not only are you alert, but you're running around spewing every swear word you can think of while you look for the pain pills!!!
  14. My wish is that I leave there without needing a second mortgage on the house!!!
  15. Hey Grant...so I shouldn't post pics of your face in here??? Like this one from last year?? Oh by the way...Snag is one tough guy...he doesn't even have a limp.
  16. Is your boat behind the camper/trailer??
  17. Hey Cliff, If you are not in a big hurry, take the stuff to a dealer to see what he's offering. Then take it all back to ebay with a reserve price on it so that you don't have to unload it at prices you are not comfortable with. Personally, I'd research it and put it on Ebay with a reserve. I don't know enough about dealers, process, which ones are trustworthy etc...
  18. Ricky 4001...the classic bass Geddy Lee used back in the day???
  19. Ohhhhhh.....THAT kind of organ.
  20. Hey Peter...I'm in the market for a smallish jamming/practise amp... Will send you a PM...
  21. For me, the most important thing is a good first layer sock that wicks away moisture. Then bulk up after that!
  22. No...that's what the 16 year old is for....LOL
  23. Can I go with you Bly????
  24. Tickets for everyone then!!!! LOL I am assuming if Bly gets them that I'm going too...maybe I should ask first...
  25. Bly got 8.9% from a Government of Canada website found here... http://atlas.nrcan.gc.ca/site/english/maps...gy/watershed1/1 Here's the passage... "A lake may be defined as any inland body of standing water, usually freshwater, larger than a pool or a pond. Canada is famous for its number of lakes. There are at least as many as two million lakes of all sizes covering, in total, 8.9 per cent of the country. Also, Canada has 563 lakes with a surface area greater than 100 square kilometres. A complete list is given in the Facts about Canada section of The Atlas of Canada. The largest set of lakes, the Great Lakes, straddle the Canada–United States boundary, accounting for 18% of the world's freshwater in lakes."
