  1. Mike...you take obnoxious pills today or something?? LOL
  2. Here's a little tutorial I put together for posting pictures to the forum. First step...get a photobucket account and upload your pics. From there you need to copy code...do this by clicking on IMG Code as seen in this picture... Once you've done that, you paste that into your report. When you start your post, you'll see the posting window. Simply paste into the spot you want to see the image...again here's a pic. If the pictures are too small, click on them...you should be able to read what's on the screen... Good luck!
  3. Boy...you really are a smarta$$ today....LOL
  4. Jim just got back to me...those first pics were Lake Couchiching....July 1961.
  5. Check you PM...you can thank Moosebunk for that....
  6. There's a reason I haven't responded on this thread ya know!!! You owe me a trip to the Manistee now...or something similar... And umm...I'm keeping that shot and roe container you loaned me....LOL
  7. So, is that net more expensive than my steelhead rod and reel?? Wait...don't answer that....LOL.
  8. Forrest is right...I assumed you were fishing in Ontario...be sure to check out each provinces regulations first!
  9. All the info you need about the non resident license is found here.... http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/198219.pdf As far as passport is concerned...here's an excerpt from the Border Service Agency for travelling to Canada. "When you enter Canada, a border services officer may ask to see your passport and a valid visa, when necessary. If you are a citizen of the United States, you do not need a passport to enter Canada; however, you should carry proof of your citizenship such as a birth certificate, certificate of citizenship or naturalization or a Certificate of Indian Status, as well as a photo ID. If you are a permanent resident of the United States, you must bring your permanent resident card (i.e. green card) with you. For more information on admissibility into Canada, read the fact sheet called Managing Access to Canada. It is available on our Web site at www.cbsa.gc.ca." Check out the website shown there for more info. Good luck!
  10. About time you got out there! Chocolate milk conditions and few nice fish...a good day in my books! That's one big bullhead...record here is only about 2 pounds..good on you for releasing it....
  11. I'm sure it'll all turn out fine Will. Remember...you have our number...just call if you need anything ok?
  12. Wow...great report Ryan! Your wife at 6 months pregnant looks stellar!! It's awesome you got some fishing in during the time down there...as much as it's hard work what you do, it looks like it can be pretty darned exciting at times too. I literally felt the cold weather when the report switched from sunny and warm to the ice report!!! LOL
  13. So, I see a power auger on that sled...and you guys made Tybo manually drill them all??? LOL. Great report Terry...hope to see you out there again for the Tyler event! Hope my first fish this year is bigger than last year...LOL.
  14. Ahh...your ice reports are back! They are always interesting...and a good time is always had as well. Great photos...especially that first one!!!
  15. Great report Ramble! Looks like you had a great few days out there. I've been ice fishing there one time...skunked...guess I should try again seeing as I live only 25 minutes from there from my door to Port Perry launch.
  16. I have no idea...but I can ask Jim (one of the guys in the pics). 11 years after my dad passed away, Jim married my mom...so he's my step dad now
  17. He may have back then...but not anymore...lol
  18. Whoa!! That's a great perch!! Congrats to the little guy!!
  19. I have been meaning to head to my mom's place to find the old photo albums to scan some older fishing pictures of my dad and his buddies. After seeing Bernie's post, I decided to get off my butt and finally do it! So, today I went over for a visit and came back with two huge boxes of photographs!! Here's a few that I managed to scan today... This is my dad...on a fishing trip with buddies...July 1961. Another one of my dad...same fishing trip... This was his best buddy at the time...Jim.... Group shot.... Not sure who this is...but it looks like he's trout fishing a small creek. v This is Mr. Cooper. I never knew his first name, but he was my dad's boss back in the 70s. He had a cottage in the Belleville area that we spent a lot of time at...my first memories of fishing are here...with a stick, some fishing line and worms. I caught sunfish after sunfish here.... Here's a few of us kids at that cottage... Older brother and cousin... Me and my younger brother...I'm on the right...about 1976. Mr. Cooper's boat...my dad and us three kids... Even though I hadn't fished in 10 or so years, my dad, who was battling cancer in this picture, invited me to go on a fishing charter. This fish is the last fish he ever caught...he passed away 6 months later. Would have loved to have had the chance to fish more with my dad, as I didn't really get into it until after he died in 1994, but the memories were cemented by him when I was a kid.
  20. Depends on where I am...and what I'm fishing for... - Creek, sharing hole with strangers "Fish on!" to let them know to watch their lines. - Boat for smaller fish. I'll say "got one" - Shore with Bly "Get the net!" - Boat for Muskie. "Holy ...dont lose it!"
  21. Great photos...it inspired me actually! I drove to my mom's place this morning to pick up old photo albums, so I'll be scanning them soon and posting a few as well. Thanks for getting me off my butt...I've been wanting to do this for a while now.
  22. Hey CC! Great to see Steel reports from you again! Was wondering if any were swimming around lately...maybe I'll have to give it a try again soon.
  23. When you've only been fishing for 2 years getting PB's is pretty easy...and I post for both Bly and I....but thanks
  24. Umm...take mine off...thanks for the nomination, but I have no business being there with solopaddler and moosebunk...LOL.
  25. Ok...now that the original shock is over (thanks snag for bringing back that horrifying childhood memory), I thought I'd respond. Birds have destroyed more than a few fishing trips for me... One time I was shore fishing...I looked behind and like ferocious Velociraptor, they snuck on me...surrounded me....and I had nowhere to go but to jump in the water!!! Little did I know that these guys were adept at swimming. Luckily the coast guard was close by to save the day..they found me a kilometer from shore. Then there was the time Fishnsled took me fishing. I got out of the car at sunrise...stretched, took a look around and saw this terrifying sight...I spent the rest of the day in the fetal position with the muskie cradle over my head mumbling "If I cant see them, they cant see me...." Then, although with best intentions, Big Cliff and my little one shows me how harmless they can be. Sure...they were ok, but I sure miss my dog. I'm not 100% convinced those things had nothing to do with it.....
