  1. For me, the most important thing is a good first layer sock that wicks away moisture. Then bulk up after that!
  2. No...that's what the 16 year old is for....LOL
  3. Can I go with you Bly????
  4. Tickets for everyone then!!!! LOL I am assuming if Bly gets them that I'm going too...maybe I should ask first...
  5. Bly got 8.9% from a Government of Canada website found here... http://atlas.nrcan.gc.ca/site/english/maps...gy/watershed1/1 Here's the passage... "A lake may be defined as any inland body of standing water, usually freshwater, larger than a pool or a pond. Canada is famous for its number of lakes. There are at least as many as two million lakes of all sizes covering, in total, 8.9 per cent of the country. Also, Canada has 563 lakes with a surface area greater than 100 square kilometres. A complete list is given in the Facts about Canada section of The Atlas of Canada. The largest set of lakes, the Great Lakes, straddle the Canada–United States boundary, accounting for 18% of the world's freshwater in lakes."
  6. How cute is that??? Jeez...she looks like a natural with that rod and reel!! We took our little one goby fishing last summer. Put them all in a bucket...told her right away that they wouldn't be going back in the water...and that we were going to throw them in the bushes. Things went great right up until it was time for disposal. She picked her favourite one, named it, and wanted pictures of it so she cuold remember it. She then cried all the way home....until she got some ice cream anyways...LOL.
  7. Beans is saying "I once caught a fish thiiiiiiiis big". Great report Cliff...always fun when mini get togethers happen!
  8. Yeah...volatile and changeable...kind of the same thing... And then the "just do ya don't quote me".....potentially....LOL.
  9. Don't worry bout it now...apparently the models are changing and southern Ontario could get a big fat 0cm of snow now....LOL.
  10. Last time I trusted that you had a procedure done... This time I'll need a doctor's note....LOL.
  11. Yeah...wonder who will be right??? haha. There is a guy that specializes in Canadian weather on accuweather.com He has a blog that talks only about Canada...and he's right a lot more often than Environment Canada and The Weather Network. His storm totals are usually dead on! If you are interested, here is a link... Click here for Canadian Weather Blog
  12. Environment Canada and the Weather Network seems to be downplaying this storm. Other sites like Accuweather.com and The Weather Channel (Both US sites) are saying it's going to be a huge one. Some are saying potentially the worst snow/blizzard since '93. They are predicting cities shut down in PA and NY all the way up to Buffalo...with 12 to 18 inches of snow...then wicked winds...causing blizzard conditions. Apparently the jet stream is going to go so far south that they are talking snow in New Orleans (not sticking around), but accumlating snow in Alabama....watch out GCD!!!! At any rate...watch out Monday/Tuesday!!
  13. No problem at all Cliff. You'd have done the same for anyone else here if you could help them out with a problem!
  14. Velcro was the first thing that popped into my head before I even opened the thread! Maybe someone else will have a better idea, but velcro would work just fine I would think.
  15. Come on...everyone has one...everyone loves it...just do it.... No problem....just let me know...
  16. It's just across the street...want me to get you one too??? LOL.
  17. Toys r us at Yonge and Eglinton has about 30 in stock...minus one!! I have it for you Cliff...I'll see you later tonight when you come to pick it up. I'll PM you directions to my place.
  18. LOL...thanks for plowing the route AFTER I walked it!!!
  19. Fantastic report Joey! Looks like you all had a great time out there. We hit snow squalls south of Barrie yesterday on the way home...with fire trucks and an ambulance rushing up the shoulder. At least you guys got into more fish than we did on Nipissing! Awesome pictures Joey...as usual!
  20. Cliff...I'll check around Toronto and GTA east...if I can find it I'll gladly purchase it and bring it up to you...now on to the search....
  21. What douG said...I think you'd have some great advice to give here on OFC!! Great intro and pics! I didn't see any ice fishing pics...so safe to assume a few winter steelheading reports when there's open flows??
