  2. Ohh...thought you meant fishing night shift....
  3. I've had similar experiences trying to sign up. Registered...waited for confirmation email. It never arrived. Emailed the admin 4 times and gave up after no response. Oh well...
  4. I checked it out...great article there! I love heading out on a cold crisp winter day with slush coming down the river, and me all by myself. I actually caught my PB steelhead on a frosty day like that. Looking forward to the next installment!
  5. Those were hilarious! On the commode again...i just cant wait to get on the commode again... It seems I was here a minute ago, and I just cant wait to get on the commode again...
  6. I'd almost take up ice fishing if I had that!!
  7. Yawn....was hoping to hibernate thru the winter, but I gotta get moving on this thing...LOL. Aile Goby...stay tuned...a sign up thread will appear soon!
  8. Don't worry Glen...hope to have the tourney set up soon! I'm going to send out the request for captains shortly and begin sign ups. I just have to work out a date for it all to happen, but I'm hoping it's within a week. The intention is to start it ASAP so that steelheaders, ice anglers, and our friends down south could all take part. At this point, there are no changes to the rules planned. Stay tuned!
  9. LOL...now that was funny! It's a little different than testing out a 9 volt battery I would assume!!!
  10. When I was around 8 years old, my uncle was doing renovations in his basement...none of the switchplate covers were on. He had this huge COOL electric train set down there that I always went to play with. So, I headed down the stairs, knew where the light switch was and went to turn it on. My fingers went inside the box and suddenly my whole arm went numb...I heard a buzzing in my head and felt myself vibrating. I tried to take my hand out, but couldn't. I then used my other fist to punch my forearm and it came out. I sat there for a bit, went back upstairs and told my uncle what happened. To this day he hasn't forgiven himself for that incident! Anyhow, I have a friend who is an electrician...he does all my work now...LOL. However, to keep this on topic, I do remove light bulbs that break off...I just use needle nose pliers to grab part of the base...the aluminum is pretty thin and pliable...find a spot and rotate it out. I don't turn off the power to the whole house, but I use my voltmeter to make sure there are no hot wires before any tools go anywhere near it.
  11. Very happy to hear she's home FNA!!! I'm hoping it was just a virus...and that she's on the mend now. Thanks again for your updates.
  12. Thanks for the update FNA....as you can see, there are a lot of us who are behind you and your daughter...and your family. You all are in our thoughts...and like others have said, things look to be on the upside here.
  13. Wow...can those fish be any more active??? WOW!! To fight one of those 12 pounders would be incredible!! To get them on the fly is evern more impressive....jeez...
  14. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. Reminds me of when my daughter had an ultrasound done because of some issues she was having...she was about 3 at the time... The ultrasound came back as showing a 'mass' on her bladder. We ended up with an appointmen at Sick Kids in Toronto. The not knowing is the hardest thing, but all turned out well in our case...by the time our appointment came, there was no sign of that 'mass' and she's been fine ever since. Hoping it turns out the same for you....
  15. Hey HH.... I use Limewire for all the tunes my band plays...just set your search criteria to return mp3s only...that should filter out a lot of the garbage...
  16. Very sorry to hear this news... Our condolences to you and your family...and to all who knew him. This was a very fitting tribute... Cliff and Carole
  17. Congrats on the first fish of the year! And a real nice on at that!
  18. Wow...there's a lifetime memory right there...for both you and your nephew... Great feel good report...thanks for taking the time to share it with us!
  19. Wow...the winter soft water reports!!! I'm not a fan of ice fishing, so I always look forward to seeing these on the board. Amazing Brown!!! Keep em coming...I'm not brave enough to put my boat in the winter yet...maybe I should get a few tips from you and give it a try!
  20. Wow...those are some BEAUTY trout!!!! Congrats on a great year!!
  21. Not sure if buses will be cancelled...it didn't last very long and there's plenty of time for sanders and salters to get out there and do their work. That being said...are you coming down with a cold??? cough cough...
  22. Wow....I don't really like ice fishing, but reports like this may just get me out on the ice this winter! Great report and video...kudos for getting out with a fellow OFC'er...like others have said, any I have met and fished with have been great times!
  23. Lasted about half an hour here. Side street are a mess, but previously treated surfaces it's just wet. 401 is just fine thru Toronto and Durham. Be careful...off and on ramps could be ugly!!
  24. Most of the mid to south end of scugog is just a big old shallow weed bed. More of a weed carpet actually. Hence the Bog.
  25. Wow Bernie! These are awesome pictures...my mom has a bunch of photos that I want to get scanned as well...amazing looking at them...thanks for that blast into your past!
