Lew...oh man...I can just picture you walking down to the dock with coffee in hand...taking a look around and then spitting the coffee out!! Good thing there was that other person there to get your boat!!!

You can download the entire Innisfil paper online...the latest issue has a whole page on the Winterfest, but nothing on Fishing for Tyler.

That's a great idea! One I wish I had years ago. My dad passed away back in 1994...and I wish I could plan the same. Sorry...have no ideas for you...just wanted to say that what you are planning will be very special...for both him and yourself!!!!

Yet another winter storm is heading for Ontario. For those in the north, it'll be mostly snow, but for southern Ontario, watch out! They are saying snow early Thursday turning to several hours of freezing rain for the afternoon rush hour. Winds are expected to hit up to 70km/h. For Friday the temps are going to head up to +3 celsius, so snow turning to rain, then back to snow for Saturday. Not sure what this kind of weather will do to ice for weekend fishing, but I assume it cant help.

LOL Wayne...was his boat in it still?? Looking forward to that pic! I've lived in Ajax/Whitby my entire life and have seen lots of plywood, and HUGE trees along the shore, but this is the first time I saw a whole dock sitting there. It sure was strange to see!!!

I pass an Esso station almost every day at Bayview just north of Eglinton...haven't seen them open in over a week (at least at 730am). Filled up in Whitby this morning, but the Sunoco I was at only had their Ultra available...at least they were selling it for the price of their cheapest gas....at a bargoon 99.9 cents!

Bly and I took the dog for a walk down on the north shore of Lake Ontario tonight and saw this dock washed up on the beach. Most of the planks are missing (I didn't take them...honest!! ). If it's yours, please PM me and I'll let you know where to pick it up!!! Oh yeah...your blue barrels are scattered around a 200 yard area on the beach as well. We just had a thread about cleaning up garbage...unfortunately, this didn't fit in the garbage bag we had with us.

I've seen these pics before...there was nothing about them that tells me that they are fake. A quick image search on Google shows lots of monster pike about this size.....

What's the link to the pics??? Sounds pretty cool!

Ron, I echo your sentiments! Congrats to your daughter...I saw how quickly she snatched up that combo...LOL. There were lots of smiles there that day...I'm happy that you and your daughter had a great day out there. Cliff

Let's hope this guy is no longer flying..you better make sure before you book.... Desperate Pilot Needs Bathroom Now, Pulls Into Nearest Service Station for Relief BURBANK, CA - Southwesterly Airlines pilot Lance Q. Muffbender just couldn't wait, especially when he saw the Chevron station accross the street from Burbank-Glendale airport. Having consumed several mugs of coffee, three cans of Coca-Cola, some orange juice, two cups of tea and six bottled waters during the flight from Phoenix, Muffbender was more than ready for a visit to the men's room. Apparently the pilot, bleary-eyed from his menacingly over-filled bladder, had forgotten that the Boeing 737 jetliner sported four on-board restrooms within brief walking distance from the cockpit. Instead, he slammed the aircraft onto the runway in what passenger Wally Shlickel from Flagstaff, Arizona described as a "landing from hell," taxied it at high speeds through a protective fence and onto the adjacent boulevard, then jammed on the brakes only when the jet had arrived just outside the gas station. Pilot Muffbender then leapt from the front door of the aircraft and dashed madly for the service station's restroom which, of course, was locked and required a key from the attendant, a surprised Dick Fulbis of Burbank. I was kind of surprised when the jet pulled up," said Fulbis. "I really didn't have the heart to tell the pilot, who looked pretty desperate, that the bathroom was out of order." When emergency personnel arrived on the scene, passengers were mulling about the boulevard, some having purchased sodas and snacks from the service station's mini-mart. "Business was great," said attendant Fulbis. "I guess the food on the flight was pretty lousy." Airline pilot says "Fill' er up and check the oil" during a spectacular bathroom break in Burbank. When pilot Muffbender was eventually able to relieve himself in one of the aircraft's lavatories and return to the cockpit, he discovered that Burbank parking police had left a ticket on the windshield for parking in a red zone. I'm not sure what the real story was...but this was pretty funny....hehe. -
What's Your Ice Fishing Season Been Like?

Oh yeah...here's a good one. I was standing in line at a club called Stairways back in the early 90s. This guy walks up...passes everyone in line and is stopped by the bouncer. The bouncer says "Uh huh....see you later...get out of here". The guy says "Come on!! Do you know who I am????" The bouncer says "Yep...you're Eric Lindros...and you're underaged..." Eric looked at the guy and then turned around....everyone in line began cheering....and he left red faced. He wasn't signed by anyone at this time, but I believe that he was number one pick in the draft in the upcoming year. He thought he could use his "fame" to do whatever he wanted.

This is my first year of ice fishing....been out twice and have caught nothing. My wife and I rented from a hut operator on Lake Scugog and we've also been out on Lake Simcoe for the Fish for Tyler Event. I know that we are beginners, but it seems that when we talk to people out on the lakes, they also say the bite has been off. Dont get me wrong...I've had fun out there , but I can only stand being skunked so many times.... I've only been on this board since this past fall, so I have no reference from previous years, but it seems that most of the reports have not been great. I've seen a few where some impressive size/numbers have been pulled out of the ice from a few reports, but overall, they haven't done a lot to make me want to invest more in hard water fishing. So...what's your year been like? What have you heard from other ice anglers? Thanks!

Great report!! The pics and videos are awesome. Looks like you had a great day out there...congrats!

Unfortunately, it's bye bye for good. It was up for a month or so after this one came online, then it went away. Too bad...there was tons of great info on there!
