WOW!! Some awesome pictures here. It's not all about size...as Lew said, but the experience that goes with it. Keep them coming...cant wait for soft water again!! -
Awesome reports! Those are some beauty pike you got there! I Hope your back is all healed up....fishing in pain isn't always fun....unless you catch something that raises your adrenaline enuf to make you forget about it for a few minutes!!

Thanks for the heads up Lew. I just walked outside here in Whitby and there is almost a full cm of ice everywhere and the freezing rain is still coming down. Saw a few ppl slip and slide down our street. Then I flicked on 680 news and the police have asked that if you dont HAVE to drive today, to stay at home so emergency crews have a clear path to wherever they are needed. This is normally a GO Train day for me, but since the derailment in Ajax yesterday, I'm not completely confident I'll get to where I'm going. They had someone on 680 say they train they were waiting for was over 45 minutes late already...and one train from Oshawa to Toronto has already been cancelled. Funny how that 45 minute delay isn't on gotransit's website.... So, I've called work to tell them I wont be in...but I have an office job, so I brought plenty of work home with me. Better safe than sorry. Glad to hear your daughter stayed in a hotel last night. I'm sure you slept better knowing she was safe. Cliff

With all the awesome Walleye reports from the Bay of Quinte and Lake Ontario this year (on both soft and hard water), I was wondering how your season went? For division 8 (Lake Ontario), the season ended yesterday. Bly and I went out for one last shot at them last night...but we were skunked! The water was very murky and the surface kept icing up a little, so we couldn't get our crankbaits down. We weren't expecting to catch anything, just wanted to get out that last time. Bly and I had an awesome year...fishing along the shore of Lake Ontario. They were all caught with artificial bait...mostly crank baits, but a few with jigs and spoons. Fishindevil took me out on his boat trolling for them back in November and we caught a few real nice ones. Here's our PBs from last fall. Blys PB was a 15 pounder, 31" long and a whopping 20.5" girth My PB was this 14.5 pounder, 32" long, 19" girth Here's my only Walleye that I caught during the day...LOL. Caught on Fishindevil's new Lund! Let's see your pics! Cant wait til it's warm enough to fish comfortably again....come on spring!!!

Yep! It's a coming! We live just down the road from Fishergirl72 and Fishindevil. NOthing as of yet. I'm working from home today cause I anticipated the afternoon rush to be horrible. I was thinking of taking the GO train, but with the derailment of that freight train, I'm glad I stayed at home!
-
There was diesel fuel in at least one of the derailed cars....so....restricted supply??? ACK!
-
Oh man...that sucks! I'm actually at home today and thought about heading out there, but I had some work to do. If YOU didn't hook into any there, then I'm sure I wouldn't have either! I know you'll get a few the next time out.

Great video!!! Great pictures and fish in there. I couldn't help but notice this guy's mug.... I'm pretty sure I've seen this guy around....hmmm.....anyone?? anyone??
-
Wow!! I am working from home today because of the nasty weather coming. If I had meetings at the office, I was going to take the GO Train. Glad I didn't cause I'd be stranded downtown and I wouldn't want my wife driving out to get me in freezing rain.
-
I expect with the snow, freezing rain and rain combination southern ontario is getting will not help out the ice anywhere. Temps above freezing tomorrow and on the weekend too.
-
Happy birthday!! Hope you have a great day!

Bly and my daughter went out yesterday to feed some animals down at a local conservation area. With bird seed in hand they set off a nice little walk. The birds came from every direction!! Landing in their hands, in the seed bucket...and one even perched itself on bly's hat. Here's a short video of their visit..... <BR><BR> <object width="320" height="240"><param name="movie" value=" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JuJ7-F3SG9Q"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JuJ7-F3SG9Q"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JuJ7-F3SG9Q" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="320" height="240"></embed></object>
