  1. Yep Brian.. was told today they intend to roll the POL into a PAL. Why not.. you can possess guns.. shoot with them, but just can't buy anymore guns (than the 10 or 20 you already possess). What's the point in that...if you can follow the rules with those that you inherited, or already possessed when the nonsense started, why can't you buy more.
  2. Locked with ice.. last I heard from Thunder Bay.
  3. Propane down the holes and a BBQ push button lighter, on long wires, is more fun!
  4. Inlet Bay is now open... gas dock is in. The rest of the lake, still using the air boats and walking beside canoes to get to their islands on Lake Temagami.
  5. I wonder if there's a Grandfather(ed) clause....
  6. You have to be a member to see your link...
  7. Steve's got it... although I love DanD's idea as well !
  8. Give me an address Simon, here or by PM. I have an auto inflate here, in my airplane, that I use on the back lakes in the canoe. I'll send it to you and you can keep it. I have a few extras up at camp to replace mine with when I get there and had planned to "off load" one or two of them anyhow. Wayne
  9. No better way to spend you're 50th than on the water... well there is, but... have a great day anyhow Will !!
  10. A slow process when it refreezes every night! They now think the Bay might open by Friday and the rest of the lake generally a week later!
  11. It's just liquid Teflon Brian. I've never had a fuel, water or hydraulic leak since I started using it over a decade ago. That said... I'd want to see the "fit" between the plastic gas tank and the brass fitting before I committed. If it's fairly snug I'd use the PST592 and if it was a sloppy fit I'd go with DanD's recommendation, to fill the gap and lock it in place.. that or polygrip! lol
  12. -C temps at night aren't helping!
  13. Ditto.. tape is absolute taboo to me, I use Loctite PST592 on everything with threads.
  14. All we ever had as "kids" was someone's toilet plunger.... to fix our parents cars before we got home....
  15. Inlet Bay today on Lake Temagami.. again, one of the first places to let go on the lake. This looks like about 3 days to go.. .the rest of the lake will be a week plus behind that I suspect.
  16. Apparently they already spawned.. Shawn had pictures of high and dry eggs in the trent system after the water drop.
  17. What kind of truck are you driving? Did my F150 in December.. Commercial Plate... $90 and that was up a few dollars from the year previous.
  18. Thanks.. but nothing new. I actually saw that video the night it was shot, as it's a guy off an airplane site I hang out on. They've been launching float planes that way for decades.. but for some reason this video is making the rounds as the latest greatest idea. I've done a couple in the yard launching them off my 32' flat bed. Easy part is getting the truck up to 50 mph in the first 1000 feet... the hard part is stopping the truck and 4000lb trailer on a grass 2% grade in the next 1000 feet, before I crash into the forest at the end of the strip. Was a guy in Collingwood that use to take off AND land his Beaver onto a moving trailer, until Transport Canada claimed he was endangering the driver of the truck (which he wasn't in any way)
  19. VERY nice Rick... I bet G is in 7vnth heaven, it's a wonder he even lets you aboard!!!
  20. Other than the snapping turtles having food... I don't think you'll find the fishing any different.
  21. Internal or external antenna puck. If external look for a crack in the housing.. moisture plays havoc!
  22. Uses a release clip just like down rigging Chris.. legal as it can be. Great stuff J.. well if it was March! lol
  23. Yes... that's Temagami Marine's boat launch in Inlet Bay.. Generally the first area for the ice to let go with Lowell Lake pouring into it and were Darren from Lakeland Airways first stages his Beaver at his Mother's dock waiting for Portage Bay to open up. And speaking of the Portage Bay.. which is just North of Inlet Bay with the PPark separating them. My neighbour rode his sled over and checked how my docks survived the winter yesterday!
