  1. Good thing he didn't have his finger on the trigger....

  3. No launching for me just yet...
  4. Yah.. any that know me know I talk too much Peter!! lol
  5. His brother Doug will pay the bill... just to continue looking like he has his brothers best interest in hand! That said.. who cares as long as he gets his act together before he's re-elected in the Fall !
  6. I should add to that CI... you mark a line only about 1" up on the jar ... and the jar should be at least 5 or 6" high. Fill the water to the marked line and then add the fuel. If the fuel has ethanol.. then it will appear that the water has grown and the higher this "water" line becomes above your marked line the more % ethanol there is in the fuel.
  7. Thanks for the donations to her walk guys... you know who you are !
  8. Take a clear container... mark a line with a sharpie and fill with water to that line. Now put your gasoline in the container and go away for a little while. When you come back if the "water" line has risen above your marked spot the fuel has ethanol in it. As simple as that and can be done right at the pump while filling your vehicle. Take the jar with you.. line marked and water in it... start to fill your car, pause for a minute to put some in the jar and then go back to filling your car. When you're done filling there will be enough time lapse.
  9. Or you can cover both worlds.. run a three way with the spoon on top.. body bait beneath!
  10. I'm allowed to pick on the Irish... the Scottish as well !

  13. Why the guess work Dave... pump it into a jar.. let it sit... watch it separate... Water in bottom.... ethanol the next layer and then gasoline. Why I said you could use a 60 oz booze bottle to separate it.. and then pour it into your vehicle to burn.
  14. Hate to bug you guys.. .but she's at it again and for some reason lost access to the info on people that donated in years past for easy bugging!... so yah Dad's helping her out again. She is also doing the Cancer Walk on the same weekend.... One is Saturday and the other is Sunday. She's gonna be one tired gal! http://crohnsandcolitiscanada.akaraisin.com/pledge/Participant/Home.aspx?seid=8016&mid=9&pid=1691297
  15. Midland Harbour and the immediate Sound appear open... but the launch ramp and Pete Peterson park shore is loaded with ice out past the entrance to to Bay Port where they have started putting in boats finally. About 2 weeks behind schedule.
  16. I can tell you with certainty.. Shell on Vinden St Midland and Shell on Robert in Penetang are both ethanol free in their premium V power. Just finished checking two cans that I got this afternoon from Vinden St, for the F-in-laws airplane that runs on car gas. Now the $1.519 / litre I could have done without. $69 for 45. litres of fuel. This is also where I fill my boat in the fall before going out Musky fishing on GBay. Marina pump at Temagami Marine is also Premium ethanol free... can't wait to see what Andre has to charge this summer!
  17. Apparently the elders on Bear Island, Lake Temagami, are getting worried it will be at least the 18th of May before they can boat to the landing... and the last week of May before the lake is ice free. Average of 20" of ice still on the lake, with areas as thick as 40.
  18. With the howling wind out there today.. she'll be clear no doubt Bill !
  19. I just want use mine this summer!!! Oh.. and I have to try and roll over the 16' steel boat and patch a hole in the hull under the middle seat before I can put it in the lake. Expected it long before this, considering the "pasta strainer" I had after sandblasting it in 2005. I'm amazed it has gone 9 full summers in the water when I was told to "just throw it away" in '05. Some metal (and I guess rivets with no welder on the island)... some aircraft fuel tank sealer, a hope and a prayer and I'm gonna try and milk another 10 years out of it as it's such a handy boat. ..and if I don't fix it, Leah will want to drive mine!!
  20. That's why I never get any closer than 3 feet jedi !! She's my resident "hangar bunny".
  21. Yep.. I took that picture from 3 feet.
  22. For sure Joey... they'll be cruising the top 10 feet ! Here's a shot from Temagami Marines "boat launch" this afternoon...
  23. No choice if it's coming out milky Dave... the one thing that makes built in tanks a real pain. Pop the line off the engine, put a syphon pump on it and start draining it into cans. If the boat is high enough you may be able to extend the fuel line and just get a syphon going and it will drain itself. You can then separate gas from water by simply using a 60 Oz booze bottle... and then pour the fuel into your vehicle as you go. Issue becomes... how is your fuel tank positioned.. where is the outlet.. does the reserve position drain from a lower location.. all unknowns without pulling the floor up to look, otherwise you'll leave water behind.
  24. Smile..
