  1. Yah.. okay.. They are only prohibited if they can be shot with one hand and / or are less than 50cm in total length. Otherwise they do not need an PAL (or any licence) to buy or operate. (and yes that's kinda crazy because they're more deadly than some guns) https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=734300823321731&l=7963595714344341572
  2. Just shout no and run away !
  3. Saturday was gusting 38KNOTS.. I know to stay on the ground..... because it's better to be on the ground wishing you were flying.. than flying wishing you were on the ground!
  4. That dock will be locked in for at least 2 more weeks Brian! It's between the Greens and Snake.
  5. Wednesday.. before the 19 degree Thursday..
  6. That's for the 36 hours after it stops dropping stuff from the sky.. when ever that ends!
  7. Pick a rock... any rock... and start circling it, day.. after day.. after day!
  8. Well, that was a LONG day after picking Jen up from her apartment just after noon today (we left home at 10:20). Oncology was a cluster.. today at Mt Sinai, with unscheduled patients and emergency consults bumping us by almost 5 hours. But hey, we've done the same to others and just have to take it in stride... unlike the impatient Doctor that couldn't comprehend having to wait "an hour" to see his Oncologist. I almost took him out... to save him the wait. Never seen someone make such a scene in the 5 years we've been going there. Jen had her head and full body CT's on Monday (30th)... saw the Doc today.. well yesterday by now. Lung spots have grown a millimeter or two in the past 6/7 weeks, but the radiation seems to have done it's job at this point for her skull / brain. Nothing new showing and what was being fully radiated seems to have subsided a bit, so it at least worked on what was there before the latest radiation. I know it's done something, as Jen is back to her bubbly self again. Very few headaches, although still easily tired which of course is a side effect of radiation. Got her script for the new Pazopanib, with just 2 minutes to spare before the pharmacy closed. Much to our surprise it was ONLY $4891.07 CDN for a months worth of pills. Cheapest I could find, as noted in the last update was over $8800 US$'s for the American folks here. So she came home with us, to see how she reacts to this drug. Just wasn't a good idea to leave her "home alone". She has an appointment again in 4 weeks to consult what her side effects have been and if a few key things do go to hell before that we screw up their scheduling like others did to us today. Just how it works, but hopefully she can stick to 4 weeks and this stuff keeps anything new at bay. The goal is to keep her stable for a time period so we can get her into an immune therapy trial.
  9. Thanks Art! Can you get them to look at the inability to quote in IE as well while they're in there... if not no big deal, there are ways around it.
  10. Better not tell that to the 30 cans of Avgas, that I have squeezed between my knees and tightened the caps down tight on !
  11. Knew I stayed loyal to IE for a reason! Thanks Roy! It appears it's a thankless job...
  12. It's winter again... and everything is white!

    1. misfish

      misfish

Sorry about that bud. I started putting away the ice gear and getting the toon ready. Me bad.

  13. It's a cottage show.. not a fishing show. Out of my immediate 40 neighbours at the lake.. 3 fish!
  14. And to think I landed and walked up to the lighthouse on the Westerns just 5 days ago!
  15. Amazing what 4 days... even with temps below 0C can do on Georgian Bay. Oh and a shot of that dock again, to show how stupid you'd need to be to run into it on a sled!
  16. I have a pair.. but I use them to jam under my floats on rock faces..
  17. Your niece shouldn't have paid a dime! A vehicle can be gifted from a Grandparent for free, nothing needed but a sworn statement that any town clerk or notary public can sign for you. Did same with my Mother's car to my nephew when she passed away on 2009.
  18. No... it's not right Tom... just the anal mind of a local CO. All the other COs around us have told me that they're embarrassed to be in the same boat with him when he starts into his "you have $5000 worth of musky gear on the boat and you're too cheap to buy a sport licence.. what if you catch the next world record" speech and I can tell you from personal experience that he really hates the "then I'd have to let it go" reply. Some you just can't win with!
  19. Hey.. they gotta pay the bills lads! Nobody says you have to click on them...
  20. Of course, except on Georgian Bay BillM. If Bruce Ward (CO) sees you lift a musky out of the water on a Conservation Licence he will charge you with Possession, because he has nothing better to do than ride in the OPP boat and sit in court..... where I'd be if he tried charging anyone on my boat. I've heard his speech about same 3 times in the past 7 years. Although the last time I saw him, he and his OPP driver were locked in the HMS Tom Coffin and couldn't get out the sliding door. It was a quick check and Terry and I still laugh about that one...
  21. Seems to be the one's that are over 50 that have the most fun !!
  22. Good use of a freestyle skiing practice ramp! Use to be one at Kelso in Milton. Guess I should add some "lip" to the bottom of my 173 footer, that I built this summer for Jen..and well yes all us other kids!
