  1. Great Simon... just a few more years and he's going to be coming home from school and taking his gf out to the shack and leaving you in the house!
  2. You'll get screwed using your CCard at the local gas station long before it happens online Steve... and if it does, it's the credit card companies problem.. not yours! Now if you're still concerned.... PM me your credit card number, expiry date and name on card. I'll give Paymentech a call and see how much I can run it through for on my merchant number!!!
  3. Silicon Sealant OI... Black matches the transducer.
  4. Just skip the "smitty sled". Add a sheet of UHMW to the hull bottom and go, that way you could technically run some open water...
  5. Or it's shooting water thru the gap between bracket and puck. Mine did that on a smaller scale and nothing a good blob of black RTV couldn't fix. Hasn't let go in 8 seasons now and I can still click it up and down a notch or two to switch from running at speed and tracking canon balls.
  6. Airport Rd and Derry Rd Jeremy.. free parking and easier access.
  7. Nobody is dissing his work Jeremy.. sometimes it's just best to be told right up front and he seems to have accepted our thoughts. The whole idea is to get the tub up out of the snow... skis attached to the bottom just add more square inches to the friction. One thing in life is certain, you can never fail if you never try and Kudos to Dynamic for trying.
  8. I hate to be the one to bust your bubble, but the entire idea of the "smitty sled" is to get everything up and out of the snow... other than the skis. You are still going to be dragging the "tub" through the snow.
  9. Mine are 1/2"... haven't lost a transducer or either speed wheel yet at 50+MPH
  10. So is it you that's the teacher Chris or your partner? You seem to stand up for them at every opportunity. Mike got what I was getting at.... all that matters in my books. Someone has influenced this child, at 10 years of age, to go this way in her thoughts ( a new friend, one of their parents or a teacher as it's not coming from home).... but like everyone else (including myself) has stated Mike has got to let it play out (while he hide's in the corner).
  11. So which one of her new friends is a vegetarian... or which teacher has swayed her this way with propaganda?
  12. Sometimes it's best to just hide in the corner Mike!! My brother's oldest is the same way.. vegan since 14, or so, and 20 years later still won't eat anything that "has a face". Needless to say when she comes to the lake we don't go fishing... because it's cruel. Hopefully with yours it's just a phase...
  13. What sucks is when you're on long term disability at 60% of your income base (as of 4 years ago) and then it's still taxable because your Union was too greedy and made the employer pay the LTD premium portion and not allowing the employee to do so on their own behalf (which would have made it tax free). When all is said and done, Jen only gets about 45% of her pay. It JUST covers her apartment and hydro bill in the city.
  14. Jesus.. it must be windy, Paul's wearing gloves!
  15. Just saw the added picture with the kid up there..... bare foot on the cutting table probably not a great thing, but then again when was it sanitized last anyhow! lol
  16. Some just worry too much and have nothing better to do than post stuff like this on Youtube. The tales I could tell about some restaurants that I delivered milk to in my younger days, when I worked summers for Beatrice Foods... and we still ordered Chinese from at least one of the places I had to chase things out of the bag dispenser while changing bags and the pizza joint is still in town 35 years later as well!
  17. 21 days is the rule and then must be moved at least 100 meters. Now if nobody complains...
  18. As noted... if you're having problems, just dip your tank in the hole for a bit.. the water is ZERO degrees.
  19. I check my smoke detectors and go back to bed!
  20. lol G.. we had to work with what we had in the cupboard!
  21. For years many stolen boats have headed for Quebec.. it's a known fact, that or the reserve. Lets not fool ourselves.. who would scrap an 800 lb max boat for the aluminum content. Would take longer with an air chisel than the worth of the scrap. The trailer and a new ownership though... that's another story.
  22. Fish is fish.. if you like fish it doesn't matter much how you coat it. Lloyd took the last fish crisp I had in the cupboard last week... added some cracker flakes for chicken coating that Leah had in there, some flour from the can and various spices to make the minimal ingredients we had on hand to stretch and cover enough fillets for the four of us to eat one night out of the deep fryer. Was delicious... not quite as good as TJ's secret recipe, but if I shared that I'd be blacklisted further than I already am!
  23. I doubt they'd scrap a 15' boat for the price of aluminum scrap... surely there's a camera somewhere on the QEW that picked this boat up heading for a restamp and resale.
  24. Boys in Temagami had to figure out how to get water hot first and then pour it on their buddy heaters 1lb tank before it would work correctly, for most of the week. Was so cold (-39 to -30) they just couldnt' make vapour, while I had no issues with my 20 lbr. Edit... give thought to the water in the hole you drilled is at ZERO C !
