Why they took pennies off the market... they needed them to keep leaning them into the fuse box at Darlington !
-
Surprised they couldn't get inside and out of the elements.
-
Nah.. they're well past breeding prime Rob. Those things are so old all they do is sit on the internet, drink beer and eat potato chips!
-
I'd rather visit the Western's light house in the summer!

What 'signals' the true beginning of spring?

That spots so much nicer in August Dan!! -
Ever thought of a career I architectural design Terry?? Exactly what I've been telling the kids.. put the BBQ on.. the portapotty.. a tent and go cruise the lake!! LMAO

It is.. just remember to have all your boat gear with you and your card! Here's mine...

Voltage means NOTHING Emil! They can APPEAR to charge just fine and hold a voltage all winter long, but have no LOAD capability. Is what the load test is for.. if the needle doesn't falter and stays up high in the CA scale they are still good.. if it quickly goes lower and lower thru the CA scale, they are done.
-
Definitely Old Man.. he said 12v+. Right after you take the charger off the battery, you should be around 13.6 volts. After it sits overnight a good battery settles in at about 12.7 / 12.8.
-
10 years is starting to push the clock, no matter how you look at it. I've had some batteries make it to 12, but it doesn't happen very often. Leah's truck battery made it to 11 and while still functional wasn't dependable anymore so I put a new one in so she wouldn't get stranded. See what they say tomorrow when you go back to get them... if they're good, then go for it... just never shut off one motor before starting the other. That should always be standard procedure anyhow!
-
The Load Tester itself is pretty dependable.. the operator is the only deciding factor. There's no rocket science involved, not since douG left us anyhow, hold the load switch for 10 seconds and see if they're still pulling 800 CA or what ever the battery is listed at.

No MB2.. the Olive oil does it. Coat with just enough, with the back of a spoon, to cover the cut of meat... add your spices and put back in the fridge for 24 to 48 hours. Bring back out 1.5 hours before throwing on the Q. I had a bunch of guys to camp in 2006, one of them was the head chef for the Keg in Seattle Washington.
-
mb2.. scroll up... Olive oil... how the keg gets away with buying low end cuts! It starts to break down the meat and makes it tender.

I'm not easily swayed by "best before" FnF... I grew up from the age of 4 in a butcher shop! Damn near had a heart attack in Foodland yesterday when I picked up a pack of strip loins marked $34.28/kg!
-
Nah.. nothing better than waiting for the 50% off in the meat counter because they're not BRIGHT red anymore! Then a night spent marinated with Olive Oil and the Keg secret receipe, then out to warm up before hitting the Q.

I guess you missed the point Bettie was trying to make when she said "YOU NEED A TRUCK?!"

Sure, I can sell you the floats from my J3 cub for $8500. They're about that size..

If you are planting said garden on the Canadian Shield, be sure to plant your carrots in gloves!

I'm not going to complicate or question Paudash... you have enough on our plate as a caring parent. DVD /CD what ever you want to call it. We've never paid more than 10 bucks and there have been numerous.. some have been free... I have every one of Jen's MRI's on my computer and probably why I only have 58kb of memory left. We copy every one of them, they are not a single use product. Americans pay income taxes as well.. they don't ride for free and then they also have to either pay for their procedures or carry medical insurance. It all probably rounds out in the end. Sorry to hear your child has been lost in the system... Jen was for well over a year, probably why she's gone through what she has for 5+ years as things progressed too far before treatment. One thing I tell every friend I have with small children.. DO NOT FORGET.... you DO NOT need a referral to take your child to Sick Kids in Toronto, or London.. or Ottawa. That is a total Myth. Just show up at Emerg when you've had enough of your family doctor!

Karma... it is a three way street correct?

Ten days of Radiation all done. Then dropped by to collect Jen's locker items from work at Maple Leaf Gardens (Ryerson University - Mattami Athletic centre now) on the way back and then headed to her apartment. She has declared that she's not up for the truck ride home and wants to stay in her apartment until at least Tuesday when she sees her Oncologist again at Mt Sinai -

G has a spare room Albert! -
Leah knew how I spent money when we got married at 18 and 20... nothing has changed in 33 years and she's still here. I'm not changing a thing!

Note the last thing I said Mister G... I've lived my life since the age of 24, to at least 44, in the 50% tax bracket so yes I certainly paid my dues to our great government and indeed when it comes right down to it paid for her health care out of my pocket and then some. All in all, I'd be living on the street if I again had to fork out the past 5 years expenses for her procedures. I guess you unfortunately have to live it, to understand it. I won't get too excited for your next response, while I sit here at Sunnybrook waiting for her delayed final day of full brain radiation.
