  1. Look down a few posts... watch out for the ski boat..
  2. Sorry Dan.. it just doesn't work on a 20 year old with no wrinkley arm skin..
  3. Don't know why he'd bury it Cliff, he should have called the local press! A farmer does not need a game licence to shoot anything in the way of "pest control" or "herd protection". Doesn't matter what it is...
  4. Thanks for that Dan !!! I needed to see some water and airplanes, as I've been stuck in the hangar 7 days a week since March! Closest I'm getting to a Norseman right now.. is the spare parts I have for same on the shelf, 20 feet from where I'm working...
  5. Yah that's what I'd be doing with them Terry... They'd be better than the local ground hogs for sure..
  6. I think it's a great move Aaron... Barry was holding you back ! Now for future shows.... .na we couldn't do the "secrets of Temagami ice"... you can't find any! .. and we couldn't show baits, or locations so it would be pretty boring with just them big fish in the lime light..
  7. It defintely is Toronto Angler.... at least the rental guy has been shown how to operate the boat. There is no such requirement to acquire a boaters card! Hell, all you really need is a good printer...
  8. You actually must have the safety equipment that is mandated by law in YOUR OWN STATE during that 44 days. I get pretty p'd off with many on our lake. Their boats are registered in OH, MC, TN.. etc and they play the "don't need a card.. don't have to comply to local standards" card, WHEN THEIR BOAT GETS PIGION HOLED AT THE LOCAL MARINA year round.
  9. Thanks for sharing Marty!!! Reminds me of my mother going back to school at 47 (4 kids) and getting her nursing diploma.
  10. Wayne.. you know very well they are not trailering cracks.. none of them even line up with a bunk boards!! Was so nice of them to take a hammer and smash in the damaged area some more...
  11. WELL.. how did it go???
  12. Remember to take your Father for a spin.. .don't forget he taught you everything you know about fishing!! Best boat partner I ever had... In the pissin down rain while you wimps was watching TV!
  13. What a beauty Larry!!! Now socks in sandals... I can do with out that view! lol
  14. First site I hit on Google.. and it's in TO! http://www.sterndrive.info/mercury-outboard-parts/water_pump_kits.html
  15. Wish we could have met you Julie... and the rest of the clan! Wasn't in the cards for the first time in 6 years! I can see TJ any day of the week by just dropping in on the Montreal..... the rest of the gang I'm kickin myself that we didn't get there. Joe and Art... what can I say.... at least I didn't have to deal with them trying to steal my wife... lol...
  16. Nice stuff Brian !! I'm waiting for the water to warm up a bit.. and then I'm gonna drop Terry and his scuba gear off on Kokoko and pick him up a couple of days later...
  17. A Harry Chapin song comes to mind John !!! .. all my life's a circle.. sunrise and sundown...! LOL
  18. Christian Island lads... so they knew the waters well and most days would have been fine in the 14'r... and Godspeed to them both. Like Lew said.. just out to enjoy themselves and the next thing you know... Many of us have been there.. done that and luckily come home. My Father-in-law and I use to fish some fair water (Methodist to Snake) in the 12' car topper.. his old 7.5 Elgin (with a cloths pin on the choke) and my 5 Evinrude both running so we had a motor on at all times (since you could never keep either running for long!). One day circa 1985 or so, that we still laugh about (and thankfully can), having to keep our rod tips up or they would drag in the swell on each side of the boat!
  19. Anytime my friend. Great to be able to help out two friends at once... that doesn't happen very often....the deceased and the lively happy camper!! Walter was a GREAT guy... he'd be really happy to know that it's you Bernie, part of the Giesler family, that has it now ! We've gotta thank Leah for the original information as well.. lol What else did you buy Bernie.. I'm kinda glad I couldn't attend.. lol
  20. Guess they didn't stick with the what happens at lakair stays at lakair rule this year!!! Spiel..step away from the food...
  21. Odd.. I heard to day that BP dropped a huge wedding ring over the well, and it stopped putting out immediately
  22. NO.. don't get me going! Month late + getting to the lake...
  23. That video reminds me pretty quick why I sold my hydro many.. many years ago! About them rivets....
  24. LOL Polliwogg.. there's nothing "conforming to protocol" either... with the cute gal from Boaters card, at Canadian Tire, handing you a test form and letting you tick the boxes over and over again until you pass.. pay and then get your card from them. Hell.. they'll even help you with the answers just to sell you a card. The guys posting above have been burned for their hard earned money by theoperatorcard.ca and then had to spend the same amount again with boaterexam. Again online.. and Bob's on the radio every day stating "don't take the chance of a fine... get your card today online". The whole thing's a crock...
