  1. Unfortunatly that is exactly what will happen...Lots of cities will not permit you to park a boat in your drive , or even in the front or side of your home...It usually goes unnoticed untill some busy body gets a bug up their rump and turns you in...Couple suggestions. Do you have one of those storage places in your area where people rent a small garage ? Sometimes they ares where you can store large items like RV's or boats..Also, when summer does come, you will be allowed to have it in your drive if you make it look like you are working on it...Most cities will allow you to have it there for a reasonable amount of time if your repairing it, or if looks like you are repairing it...*wink* Last option is to just dock it if you can afford it...Hope this helps!
  2. Good luck on quitting smoking...Been a year and a half for me... Use the patches, but keep the gum handy for the tough urges! It works, I'm a wuss and I did it!
  3. Also, you cant have you're neighbor chasing off you're tenants like that either! I would consider telling him he owes you for 1 weeks rent! If he is really that upset, and believes so adamantly that he is right, you may need to take it a step further, and just file a report with the local law enforcement.... Just a thought...
  4. If it wasn't for the customers, this job would be perfect!

  5. Anyone ever gone into Michigan and fished South Manistique Lake in the U.P. ?
  6. I was there five years ago for 3 days, and did not have much luck at all...I would not go back, even had one guide go with me for a day, and still got skunked...However, free lodging would add a whole new wrinkle to it! Your investment is very low, and who knows, may be it was an off year! Good luck. I hope you have better luck ! Durf.
  7. Hi gang...My parents started bring me and my brothers to Chiblow Lake back in the 80's, and other than missing a year here, and there we have been going ever since! Now I bring my Wife and kids, my sister and her fam, and my parents (both in their 70's) still make the trek!! Apparently a few years ago a local "gentleman" was caught netting the lake while it was closed for the season. So my 1st question is can anyone tell me how long it takes for Smallies to mature to adulthood ? Reason why I ask is that the fishing is terrible for bass up there the last few years... Next question...As much as we love Chiblow Lake (the peace , and pure beauty of it). We are interested in looking for another place to go for our annual vacation. We all travel from the Columbus Ohio area. Anyone who is familiar with Chiblow Lake then knows were looking for a Lake that is quite, free from all the jet skies, and weekend skiers, and tubers. We like to fish alot , and our kids like the little beach area for swimming...This is breaking our hearts to leave our favorite place on earth, however if were not catching any fish, then whats the point... I would appreciate any input you guys might have, were open to going through Michigan up through the Sault, or coming through Toronto way, or through Detroit...Trying to keep it under a 15 hour drive (kids start getting a cranky)...
  8. Felt it in Cleveland !
  9. Ok...This is gonna sound weird. I'm sitting in my office, and an employee calls me who is at lunch and asked me if i felt that...I said that I did not feel anything, he said his car was rocking back and forth...The weird thing is...I'm in Cleveland !
  10. Could anyone tell me if Americans coming to Ontario for fishing vaca's need to have a watercraft licence ? I'm getting conflicting answers, so I'm coming to the answer people....Last thing I need is to drive 12 hours only to find out I cant fish...
  11. Headed up to Chiblow Lake in a couple weeks, wondering if their are reports out there about the fishing...Whats working for bass...I'm coming a long ways to get there, and would like to bring the right things with me. Also, when I was there in the fall last year the water level was so low that it restrited some of the spots you could go to. I'm sure they opened up the dam to let water out...Can anyone confirm that ?
  12. Just curious if anyone had fished Chiblow Lake this year ? I'm getting ready to go up there for our yearly trip, and I've noticed thet the fishing gets worst every year (been going for 25 years). I've heard rumors about the lake being netted a few times. Any truth to that ?
