So am I Terry... I just pull the 102C off the bow of my boat and take it ice fishing all winter. The first 2 years I just sat out on my sled seat in -30C or worse while everyone else was toasty in their huts. Unit was as quick as I could tell... I move my jig... the screen moves in unison. ..Now back to a guy asking about a flasher!!!

I've been asked a few hundred times or more why I fly with the boat "backwards" on my airplane. Came across this today.. and it pretty much tells the tale, as the boat is semi streamline going backwards.. it's not going pointy end first! 2.6 times more draggy going what many would think is the correct way. I have the same question Rob. My little 2Hp x 9 inch lightning has THOUSANDS of holes under it's belt thanks to 6 guys all liking to use it when we're on Temagami for a week at a time. Still cuts like it was new and this will be it's 5th year. I think part of the issue is ones like mine use the ripper blades on them and these strikemasters and the likes use the same blades the hand augers use... and they just don't hold up to the abuse of being powered. MIND YOU.. this Tempest is showing it has a serrated tempered blade ! The strikemaster that I bought of Misfish's brother Rob had two normal blades on it just like a hand auger.

We've got ice to our dock now... all I care about this year!

So what are you saying Bernie... in another 10 years he should be able to go ice fishing again!! Congrats Ernie... nose to the grind stone and remember there's nobody gonna pat you on the back but yourself for your hard work. It can get lonely, but enjoy the other side of the freedom!
