  1. 22" of ice on Temgagami! Some stuff further South of there is running pretty fast and wide... stay away from any moving water and you'll be just fine!
  2. I feel you pain.. I had to unbolt my engine to get it high enough to fix a fuel line last winter, that the mice ate!
  3. Well I guess a brief "fix" of ice fishing will have to do. 4 great days on Temagami, we even did some fishing!

Good for you. You deserve it.

Didn't take a sled.. so were pretty limited for travel with truck or foot. Lake was crusted with 5" of water under it.

  4. Looks like you have 14 days of perfect weather coming lads... -6's at night.. +2's to 4's in the day..
  5. I'm with Sinker... I was fishing yesterday, with my friend....
  6. Buy him a $31 bottle of El Dorado Silver Deluxe.. and he'll love you and hate you at the same time.. as he continues to buy it and tries to find a store that stocks it to satisfy his new taste!
  7. Amazing what you can learn by reading council meeting agendas.... stuff that hasn't been presented to the public for input!! Even TJ didn't have it on his Aurora site yet... but of course he's busy boiling sap! lol
  8. That's the whole thing Fishlogic.. what he's referring to as little and big. I guess Little is the long straight stretch on the East side of the highway and once it goes under the bridge it's the "river". What I took aerials of is "little" and "river".
  9. Hey... I told you to buy a new primer for that thing!!!!!! You can only expect a bath tub tap washer to last so long you know. No warrantees on MacGiver work my friend.....
  10. Here.. haven't put these up in a while... North from the Rock Pine motel to the outlet damn. So I guess this is considered Little Marten Lake and Marten River.
  11. So the "Big" lake is the SOUTH side of Marten Lake road.. and the "Little" is the river running North from there.. then West under HWY 11 and past the park.. then dumping into Red Cedar...
  12. I've never heard of Big Marten and Little Marten... Marten Lake only. Adventure fishing maps has it. Let me dig some more...
  13. Noticed that the other day... one of the few that has had his account decommissioned! Maybe his Toyota broke down for good ... Big Cliff's around..
  14. Would have put in FNews but can't start a topic there for some reason.... Well after many decades and many dollars spent treating the Aurora as a species of it's own, the MNR managed to find a biologist willing to call it just a Brook Trout wearing makeup! The Aurora is no longer eligible to be on the species at risk list.. and suspect all funding will stop for it's care and stocking as well. http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/stdprodconsume/groups/lr/@mnr/@species/documents/research/stdprod_091136.pdf
  15. Musky fishing with Andy this fall.... 2 weeks apart... water had dropped almost a foot and a half and it wasn't just the "tide" going out for a change. I'm trying to find a picture of picnic island in HHarbour I received a few weeks ago.. it'll scare ya!
  16. Yes... you can't cross without a passport or enhansed drivers licence Ernie
  17. Lots has changed since then Mike. Water levels are back to 1964's lowest level and many that bought "waterfront" through the 80's and 90's, when the bay was about 1.5Metres higher, have found themselves with nothing but a mud hole where their dock should go!
  18. I sit and watch them hunt bass under my docks.. not a hope in hell I'd touch one with anything but lead!
  19. Great stuff Chad !! Hoping I can find one next week... if I can get North that is....
  20. That's not vertical... flying level by the looks of it.. around 18,000 feet. ;O)
  21. Cargo departing Hamilton....
  22. My IE shows it Rick... at least mine, Terry's and such. Just not his first attempt!
  23. I learned MANY years ago.. anything with a battery in it you let it float where ever it wants. You strap the lower suspension down and let the vehicle move around. Otherwise it comes home with the plates in the battery shorted together. I hauled my two cars everywhere on my 34' deck trailer.... with 10,000 lb x 3" ratchet straps around the 4 tires. The cars got to bob and weave on their own suspension on the trailer.
