Part of the ongoing "quote" problem of IE. You can get around it by going to the reply options and selecting HTML.. then use the [ img ] tags like old times and enter your webaddress between the tags.

Well it ain't coming anytime too soon.... ... this mornings "fun". Figured I may as well enjoy the first windless day in 2 weeks before plowing it. The ice shot is taken from the Cedar Point / Lighthouse Point Ferry towards Blue Mountain!.. Nottawasaga Bay locked TIGHT with 2+ feet of ice. Think I'll head North next week... 3 feet of ice and travel to back lakes should be mint!

why are there so many part time jobs in Ontario
irishfield replied to Oggie's topic in General Discussion
Why do employers fear benefits Crazy Ivan??... a minimal plan for 80% dental and 100% drugs.. with a few other minimal perks like a whopping $300/yr for physiotherapy costs the employer $341 for family coverage and $172 for a single person PER MONTH. The 10 that I continue to cover in my facility costs me just over $3200 per month to do that, which = almost $40,000 a year. I just can't imagine what OPSEU is making Ryerson University pay Sun Life per month for all their employees, like my daughter who gets100% dental coverage, 100% drug coverage, life insurance 2 x salary, 100% physio coverage, 10 massages a year etc. Jen's physio bill is $600 PER WEEK ! and they cover it. So a single guy needs to look at benefits as about a $1.20 per hour worked. Quite possible you can find a direct route to benefits similar to blue cross to give you what you need. As for pension benefits, other than what you put away yourself you're on your own... unless of course you work for the public sector it seems these days. -

Lets stick to the facts to help Oggie out... if you get a pay cheque.. you're entitled to 4% vacation pay. I'm not aware of any out on that... https://www.labour.gov.on.ca/english/atwork/workplacerights_fs.phpI guess the positive of "part time", it gets more people out into the work force vs one working full time and another sitting on a couch with poogie run out. -

Leah has never managed to get her Ford Sport Trac stuck... and that's a testament with our laneway. It also had no problems pulling my 17' Glastron up hill to Temagami. They stopped making them mid year in 2011 and I've been babying her '03 along for awhile now while she decides how to "renew". -
Took that shot about 5 " before break through.. handles were on the snow when it went through in more than one spot on Lake T ! Was going to go back up for closer (Laker) weekend and have my extension ready. It's been making ice since I left on the 3rd.

Try Penetang to Lansdowne / Bloor in Toronto and across to Sunnybrook and back... and back up the 400. I was only 3 minutes late getting Jen to Sunnybrook, but I sure worked to get her there thanks to all the cars and vans that couldn't climb the hills.

Karma... it is a three way street correct?
irishfield replied to irishfield's topic in General Discussion
On Monday March 10 th Jen had an MRI on Brain and Skull... and today we did the 10 hour drive from hell (snow and 70K winds) to get her picked up and over to Sunnybrook (did good I was only 3 minutes late getting her there) for her Radiation Oncologist consult. We were inside for a total of 15 minutes and that included seeing the Doctor's "fellow" and visiting two registration desks to change some personal data. There are no signs of any re-occurrence of the 4 skull and brain tumours that were radiated back in July of 2013 and NO new spots noted above the neck on the MRI. Best 15 minutes in a hospital in a long long time.... and parking only cost me $4.75 ! We then fought our way back across the city and with nobody being able to get up hills I had to take it to the side streets with my truck or we'd still be sitting on Eglington Ave in Toronto. We had a nice supper at an Italian place on Dundas West, dropped Jen at a Birthday party on Bloor and then fought our way back up the 400 and home! She will be getting a new Lung CT and another head MRI in 3 months, with hopefully the same quick hospital visits. What ever you folks are doing.... don't stop! She's happy and full of life once again! -
My only question based on last weeks excursion.. will the ice be out for opener!
