on board battery charger not shutting off after charging
NANUK replied to Lunkerhunter's topic in General Discussion
Check the water in battery, best to take it some where to be load tested and a specific gravity test on each cell. You can try a different charger or battery, There is a reason I don't like leaving the automatic charger ON all the time . -
what make / model is it ? The reason I ask is we just bought a new washer and might be able to help you with some parts from the old washer before I scrap it.

Bingo !! That is exactly how bearing buddies work. they keep a couple of pounds of positive pressure in the hubs so the water does not enter when hub is dunked in cold water. I have them on my boat trailer for the last 12 years and the bearings and grease still look brand new when I inspect them every couple of years. Problem is that people overload them with grease and once the back seal pops, the pressure is lost and it defeats the purpose of having the bearing buddies.

I was talking about cranking batteries because thats what OP asked and thats the reason I mentioned cranking amps, There is no need to confuse things when the question was about a starting battery upgrading from 500 to 1000 amps, And yes, 12v DC IS 12v DC No need for an on-board smart charger every time you are not fishing for a starting battery, your main motor takes care of that. A deep cycle battery needs to be charged asap after each use.
-
12 volts DC is 12 volts DC regardless of amp rating, A higher amp rating battery with same physical size (for space) will be a better choice specially if you are running all the electronics, pumps and lights of the same battery, My F90 came with a 500 amp as well and lasted almost 7 years, I replaced it with a 1000 amp battery, just make sure the battery is marine rated.

Sounds like you need an industrial grade gas power washer, You won't find anything like that at a big box store, We have a Goodway pressure washer at work, very reliable and robust pump ( hot water rated ) with a Honda engine, parts are available here in Scarborough. http://www.goodway.com/products/pressure-washers

There was no ways Liberals could win the last elections with all the lies and scandals of Mr.Mguilty, gas plant, orange, e-health, list goes on.............................. Tim Hudak gave it to them in a gold platter. over 30% of Ontario workers work for union, what was he thinking ? his own buddies asked him to step down from leadership.

7 years old ? You can try recharging it however slow or fast you want, chances are it will let you down on the water when you really need it. I would say time to replace the battery, Like mentioned above, no need to spend a lot of money for a cranking battery, get the biggest marine cranking amp battery for the physical size you require for the space you have, I prefer marine rated batteries for the boat, they stand to vibration in the boat better than car batteries.

Canadian Tire sells "Bug & Tar Remover" by Turtle wax, the stuff does a good job on removing all sorts of grime, including tree sap even oil base stuff, and is safe on all paints and clear coats. -
Thats Bull, How would you know it leaks unless you fill it with gasoline ? Where did you buy it from ? I would see the store manager and tell him it is illegal to sell a leaking gasoline container because that voids the CSA standards for such container. A big fire hazard. Should always be kept upright BUT Like mentioned above, you only fill it to 90% and it should not leak even when turned up side down That vent is there to open when pouring, NOT to leave it open during storage or transportation.
-
Thats a vent cap, it shouldn't leak when closed tight, If you just bought it new, any chance you can exchange it with another.

I don't think this is a high efficiency furnace with a condensate drain. As for the thermocouple, the pilot will not stay lit if the thermocouple was defective.
-
Sounds like an older furnace with a standing pilot ? probably no electronic circuit board & blinking lights ? Did you say the fan wont run on "AUTO" or "ON" position ? Do you have and are you handy with a multimeter ?
