  1. BPS has them for around $60 last I checked, That is what I am using with Daiwa M1 moocher
  2. WOW !! That's some card for sure .
  3. A friend of mine was telling me about a young man he knows, He does not go out on the weekends, has no girlfriend, doesn't eat out or even buy coffee, has no hobbies, I think he says he is like 25 and his goal is to be mortgage free by the time he is 32. I admire that young man's displine, I wish I had 10% of that when I was at his age But what a shame, he should enjoy his young days a little, he will never feel or see that age again.
  4. I agree, you got to live, life is not a contest about how many things you can do without, I don't believe in saving everything for when I retire, I might not be physically ( or mentally ) able to do most of things I enjoy now. We have decent household income and a pretty good pension plan, no kids. Live within your means and save a little for the future,
  5. Another old dinosaur here, I just dont buy it if I can't pay cash for it, gas, groceries, tackle, even my vehicle and boat. Generally speaking, you get a better deal on almost everything when paying cash. I do have a couple of credit cards just in case, but never carry a balance.
  6. Great news ! Thanks for the update
  7. Thanks for the update, Glad to hear all went well.
  8. It's not hard to repair it yourself if you have a good file or access to a bench grinder, just file/grind it to shape and sharpen it back.
  9. If you are looking at Samsung, I would go with 8000 or 7000 series, better screen panels and refresh rate. I ended up buying a UN60F8000AFXZC, This was Samsung's flagship tv for 2013, I got it on a great discount. wasn't looking for but it also has 3D and intergrated camera.
  10. I recently did a lot of research on TV s, Had a serious look at 4k UHD, spoke to a lot of people 4k looks amazing when you are looking at it up close in the store, but after 10 feet distance, the human eye can not tell the difference between 4k and a good quality 1080p HD. Curve is a gimmick IMO, the curve edges catch the light during Day time and cause glare, maybe in a completely dark room it works good , not for me. I ended up buying an 800 series 1080p HD LED Samsung, very happy with it.
  11. Not too many choices when it comes to gluing polyethylene, don't waste your time & money on different adhesives and super glues. Hot air welding is the best but needs special skill, equipment and shop settings. There is Poly-Weld, it requires heat treatment of both surfaces, proper preparation is crucial with this product. http://www.tapplastics.com/product/repair_products/plastic_adhesives/tap_poly_weld_adhesive/435 Mechanical fasteners like screws, bolts & nuts are easiest and most effective but not always practical.
  12. You don't need to fully discharge a battery to give it a full charge, it will do more harm than any good. Another myth about not placing batteries on concrete floor. Not true Originated from long time ago when the outer cases were made out of natural rubber, Now battery covers are made of polypropylene or othe modern meterials, battery can be stored anywhere. http://www.trojanbattery.com/tech-support/faq/#Myths
  13. I have experienced reel failure due to bad drag system or worn/cheap gears but never seen a reel actually "explode" or "blowup"
  14. Have you checked for power on the wall receptacle ?
  15. Arctic Bass ?
  16. Thanks for the update, we have you in our thoughts and prayers.
  17. SIMMS ProDry or G4 gloves ! They are not cheap but waterproof, warm and breathable. Latex gloves will make your hands sweat and ultimately freeze.
  18. Flu vaccine is a best guess, you can still get some rare strain of flu virus not covered by the shot. It takes your body up to 2 weeks to build the immunity after the flu shot. And NO you can not get flu from a flu shot .
  19. I have one of those 8x10 Costco sheds, I poured a solid concrete pad for it to sit on, no problems.
  20. I get a flu shot every year, It works for me.
  21. I keep the box and everything it comes with.
  22. I think you need a bigger prop with higher pitch, I would start with with 14x21 and go from there. pobably need a 15 inch prop with 23 pitch.
  23. Yes indeed ! Very fortunate to live in Canada and I am foreever in debt to the brave servicemen who scrificed so much for our great country and freedom.
