Not lookin for safe ice reports. Just a good launch/parking spot where I can access those huge walleyea. I will check the ice for myself when I get there. I never trust the ice unless I have tested it:)
-
Wow. I thought someone might share a good access spot where I could start from. Not looking for coordinates.

I would love to fish quinte for eyes this winter but I have no idea where to walk out from, park... Have heard it can be dangerous at times so that keeps me from trying. Is there anyone here that wouldn't mind sending me a pm as to where is a good place to start with typically decent ice and good fish numbers. I don't want gps coordinates. Maybe I could trade a musky trip or info for quinte info? Thanks Landry

Bill. While agree with some of your highly opinionated and somewhat arrogant rant. I will also agree with fish farmer too. Even the "educated" middle class are being slowly pushed down the economic wealth ladder. I agree that many people feel entitled nowadays. We all are free to choose our own destiny in this country, provided we have the necessary work ethic and skills. However, times will be tougher for our children. I encourage my children to work hard and jump through the right hoops so that they can choose a career that is rewarding in their future. My kids are lucky in that they got their brains from their mom;) Landry

Fish farmer. You are likely correct. We have bigger problems head in canada for sure than this one. But that was a big jump from the original idea of this thread. Lol.

It's not about free speech. It's about business, racism and homophobia. It's not a free speech debate. He can speak whatever bull he wants but his employer has a right to dismiss him if they feel he is damaging their product. Being Anglo Saxon or Christian means you are a racist or anti -gay? Give me a beak!!!!! Landry

I think Johns reports are fine. He is not saying where they r biting. He is a good guy. One of the main reasons that shore has been busy is due to poor ice conditions, at least two years ago anyways, that kept people off whitey and laker spots. And the perching is good along that shore too.

I would never buy sight unseen. Ever. I drove to Iowa and Michigan to buy used boats. I saved so much money it was worth the drive. You only pay 13% at the border plus 200 trailer fees as bill mentioned. Both times there were problems to be sorted out due to incompetent or inaccurate sellers. One was a leun issue that I sorted out in Michigan with the owner last minute, even though he told me it was all good. The other guy said it was mint, which it was not - but I chopped a lot off the price due to that. Glad I went before i paid.

MCI Insiders - someone have the pic of the anglers 59x34?
landry replied to Steve's topic in General Discussion
I think its unfair to throw daggers at this guy. I would have bonked it just to end the debate. Good for him for releasing it. I am curious about this fish and want to see pics. Some of these comments are exactly why some super fish never hit the internet boards. I will take his word as true even though other fish in the past have been blatant exaggeration a or lies. I will let you decide which ones I am talking about. Landry -
Awesome video. Those guys r funny too.

Wow. What did he do to convince u of that. It would have to be a pretty sensational story. -
To Say Suzuki is a sham is rather surprising. It sounds like u have done some reading and research and you actually sound intelligent - however it sounds like you may have conversely fallen for the sham science and strategies that big business uses to manipulate the masses into thinking that global warming, fracking and the oil sands are all absolutely nothing to be concerned about. It's good to question ideas and theories but it needs to be objective and go both ways. Just sayin.

Is fishing trout beads essentially flossing/snagging?

I would agree with Bill and I flyfiahing steelies. On the US tribs I see a Lott of anglers running crazy long tippers below their shot. It is clearly lining fish. -
On the safe side. Go in November and when the water is up but not chocolate, preferably after it rained and is starting to clear. That can be two to seven days roughly depending on the size of the river and some other factors. I would avoid the credit and hit the Saugeen and bighead or niagara personally. They r all busy but the credit is insanity. Consider the first season recon work. Watch the good guys - where they set up, their rig and how they fish it. It is not ticket science but it is intimidating at first. If you give people space and are friendly, there will always be someone around who will help u along. Landry

You nailed it with that comment Cliff.

They r a very durable reel for the price. That is a common prob with them. Take off the side plate and gently bend the part so it catches better. I had three of these for muskie fishing. One had this prob and I fixed it. They all outlasted Abu reels by a long way, though the bearings are cheap and noisy IMO. Landry
