In talking with him at fishing shows I have always found him to be a great guy. I hate trolling with every ounce of my being. Lol. I can't stop watching fishing shows even though I hate how ridiculous the almost constant product plugs have become on almost all shows. A lot of guys can't use a sentence without mentioning a sponsor's product. I think that approach is less effective than saying nothing and letting us see what they r using in the background. Landry

I have had the elite 5 since it came out. It has been very good to me so far. It marks fish well and is easy to use

Lowrance elite series. I have the elite 5 and ice kit. It is a nice unit and used all year long.

I called a Minden tackle shop and got word that there is 6+" of ice on some of the lakes up there now. I just wanted to check on this site first though to see if anyone here has ice fished that area and can confirm that there is safe ice there, before I drive 3 hours to fish:) Thanks for the help guys! I agree.

That is ridiculous. Yes some were poorly behaved but blocking access to public waters is just plain wrong. I took my kids out there weekly and often in the summer too. Although I will be able to fish the lake in almost total peace, it still angers me that access is being denied. I have access through a friend but I still feel this is very wrong.

There was a very reasonable fl8 flasher on the classifieds page. 180 I think.

I exchanged with no issues but act fast as these suits clear out fast and i almost couldn't get a replacement - had to change colour.

I hooked myself so badly once with such a big hook that I was show and tell for the doc and nurses at the hospital. The boga was pricey but it really helps me control the fishs head and gain leverage when cutting or pulling hooks. I love it and don't fear hooks like I did after my injury. My friends have noticed it cut the release time considerably and it is so much safer. Great post btw. Thanks.

I disagree. The boga is a great tool to be used IN the net to help unhook fish but it should never be used to lift a fish. My boga cuts down on the dehooking time considerably and keeps my hands safe. I hooked myself badly once and the boga has been a great purchase since.

It will pull just fine with a smitty sled. But I would still sell it and get one that fit in my car.

I have the avet sx mc and it is really only a big blade reel IMO. It casts okay and runs a little rough but it is comfy, lefty and burns in big blades with ease! I recommend 100 pd braid to help avoid backlashes as 80 gave me probs and don't fill it full to allow for line piling up in places. Casts a little shorter than typical reels IMO. You will like the reel for blades. The lever is easy to get used to. Landry

Wait and watch cabelas site. They usually blow out their suits yearly. Last year I, and many others on here got the guide wear suits for 250 or so shipped! Their suits are terrific. I have had Simms wad ers for 8 years. Still going strong. Great products but 600 to a 1000 for a rain suit. That is insane. If u have the money - oh well, no worries then I guess. Landry
